Dr Dee's 1574 Home

Advising the Queen for over 400 years

Let the telling begin

(The language in this diary has been updated to 21st century standard usage.)  I am Dr. John Dee, adviser to Her Majesty, Elizabeth of England, the first to bear that name.  The Queen's Progress has brought her to Bristol where I was visiting another mathematician.  She and her court are staying here as guests of Lord Roger North, the Baron de Kirtley.   I will try in this diary to record events and the spectacle of the Queen's visit.
