    Rules of the RSHR

General & Registration Rules

Registration Rules
1. A) Stock Horses that have been Bred or Created solely for Straight Halter competition are eligible for registration. For these horses please use the Standard Registration Form.
Stock horses consist of the following breeds: (Crosses Not Accepted)
Quarter Horse
Paint
Appaloosa

B) Stock Horses who were not Bred/Created for Straight Halter competition and have competed in performance events or have produced performance foals will be accepted on a case by case bases. For these horses please use the Special Consideration Registration Form.

General Rules
2. Horses who are registered with the RSHR that are found to be competing in any event within Riata that is not Halter (color & pattern classes are also acceptable) will receive one written warning. If the RSHR finds a second infraction of our rules the horse will have their number and registration status revoked.
The RSHA does not consider in-hand classes like Showmanship, In-Hand Trail, Lunge Line or Lead Line to be Halter classes and these will not be accepted and absolutely no riding classes will be accepted.

3. If players are found to be registering horses who are later trained for riding events, and the horses were never truly intended to be for Straight Halter and In-Hand the RSHR will re-consider if that player is welcome to register horses in the future. This association is for horses who are bred and trained to show in conformation classes only. Horses who are re-trained will have their Awards and Titles revoked.
This is not an association for young horses who need a place to show till they are trained for riding events. This association is for horses who are intended to be shown in Halter and In-Hand only.
The RSHR was NOT created as a Preparation (to pass time) or as a Retirement (to finish off a horse) Association. The privilege of an RSHR accepted Registration is for those horses who have been specifically bred/created for halter. Horses with previous Show Records, sire and dam non-Halter bloodlines or a number of foals competing in non-Halter events will NOT be approved.

                                                                      Show Rules of the RSHR

1. RSHR points will be processed after each show (RSHR Monthly shows or RSHR Sanctioned shows).
The RSHR tries to process RSHR Points as soon as possible and we will inform our members of when this took place by posting on the Forum in each shows personal Topic.

2. Do not consider your RSHR Points official, or announce an RSHR Award or Title until you have been informed by the RSHR itself. New Title or Award winners will be posted on the Fourm when we inform Members that the points have been tallied.

3. The only classes that will generate RSHR Points that count toward RSHR Titles and Awards are those created by the Open Halter Division.

4. Do not enter Championship Classes.

5. Players must enter their horses into the correct Age & Gender division.

6. Horses must be fully registered and have been issued a permanent number to be entered in RSHR shows, to be eligible for RSHR Points. The RSHR will not accept points earned before the horse was Registered.

7. Players MUST post on the Shows Topic for that month that they are confirming (if possible) and/or when they have sent entries.

8. Classes require 2 or more entries to run.

9. Owners may enter an unlimited number of horses in an unlimited number of classes each show.

10. Cheques must accompany entry emails and the email must be in proper format or the entries will not be processed.

11. Classes require a minimum of 3 entries for RSHR points to be earned for any placements. For a breakdown on point achievement please email the RSHR, subject line: RSHR Point Information.

12. Colts and Geldings as well as Stallions and Geldings will be shown together until enough Geldings have been registered with the RSHR for their own seperate division. This will be reviewed annually and the RSHR will require ten (10) geldings of any age to be registered in order for a seperate division to be created.

13. Any horse of any age and gender may enter the Open Halter Sweepstakes.
