RI 4-H Horse Program

Welcome!

Welcome to the Rhode Island 4-H Horse Program information site!

We are glad you found us. There is a whole lot going on in 4-H, and here you will find information specific to the horse program, and links to all the other great happenings. Hopefully all your questions will be answered here, if not you will find e-mail links to people who can answer them!

We are in the process of getting a lot of new information loaded on this website.  Pages that have been updated with 2009 information are:

Horse Show Class Lists

Judging/Hippology Guidelines

Show Dates

Eastern States

NEW INFORMATION

Several new families have asked about the various classes at horse shows and what are the judges using to evaluate riders.  All of our judges at the RI district and state 4-H horse shows are 4-H carded judges.  These shows all follow the rules and guidelines established by the  New England 4-H Horse Committee.  I have provided a link so that 4-H leaders, members and parents can review the current rules and guidelines.

New England 4-H Horse Show Rules and Guidelines

The ESE Qualifying Pattern will be the pattern for Equitation Classes (Jr. and Sr.) at the State 4-H Horse Show.  Please read over the 2009 ESE Qualifying Pattern Guidelines and review the 2009 ESE Qualifying Pattern.  If you have questions, please contact State 4-H Horse Show Manager, Christy Dutra at cassabar85@aol.com
