August is just days away and presently my calendar is still full of private engagements, but I do promise to get back on the trail soon.  For those of you who keep sending me those phone calls and emails, the answer is yes...the second book is going through its finishing touches right now.

Several events are being plannned and some dates should be finalized in the coming weeks.  Also Author Carol Ann Culbert Johnson is featuring my book On a Rainy Day on her Author Spotlight located on her Web site from July 30 through October.  Please check out her site www.carolannjohnson.net .

It's hard to believe it's the first week of June and On a Rainy Day is still keeping me as busy as it did last September. Wonderful isn't it?

Jennifer at B97.5 will be featuring On a Rainy Day for the month of July. She has several copies she'll be giving away, so go to www.b975.com and sign up to win one.  If you are a lucky winner, contact me and we'll arrange a way for me to sign it for you. 

I have a lot of other engagements on my calendar but none at this time that are open to the public (mostly clubs and meetings). I hope to get back on the signing trail as soon as time will allow me stuff my things in the car and go.  I expect to be signing at the Barnes and Noble in Christianburg, Va. soon - check back for the dates and times. And  there has been some requests for me to make some more local appearances, I'll have them posted here when the dates and times are finalized.

Meanwhile... for those of you who ask me every week - yes, the second book is almost ready to go! 

***There is been a schedule change for the upcoming events in March***

The Daughters of Appalachia Literary Festival previously set for March 9, 2008 has been changed to March 8 from 1-4 p.m. at the Sweetwater Public Library.

ALSO the signing at Hastings Booksellers in Maryville previously set for March 8, has been rescheduled for March 22, 2008 from 3-6 p.m.

I will be at the Daughters of Appalachia Literary Festival on Sunday, March 9, 2008 from 1-4 p.m. which will be held at the Sweetwater Public Library.  I will have copies of On a Rainy Day available for purchse as will several other authors who will be in attendance.

Everyone is invited to Hastings book store on Saturday, March 8 from 3-6 p.m. where I will be sigining On a Rainy Day.

A book signing will be held for "On a Rainy Day" at the Sweetwater Public Library for November 3, 2007 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

This will be a joint signing with Author Rozetta Mowery author of  "Tragedy in Tin Can Holler."

Everyone is invited to attend!

A sell and signing for "On a Rainy Day" is set for the Carmichael Inn in Loudon on Friday, October 12 from 4-7.  Everyone is invited to attend.

A Historical Landmark in Loudon County, the Carmichael Inn boasts the Wharf Street Coffee Shop, Blue Bell Ice Cream and a cafe all wrapped around the beautiful setting of the old Inn with its rustic look and warm atmosphere.

With the launch finished.  There's still much more to be done locally.  Check back often for the dates and times as I am currently planning several signings.

Thursday night's launch was a huge success and I want to thank everyone who helped make it possible.

I want to express a heartfelt "Thank You" to everyone who came out to share the launch with me.  There were so many faces I hadn't saw in a while and so many friends who's faces I have missed.

I hope you enjoy reading the book half as much as I enjoyed writing it.  Keep in touch!

"On a Rainy Day" will officially launch in Lenoir City, September 20 from 5-7 p.m. at the Hampton Inn Conference room located at the Hampton Inn on Highway 321 in Lenoir City.  Lite refreshments will be served and I will have plenty of copies for sale and signing.  Everyone is invited to attend - I look forward to seeing you there.
