Teardrops

Teardrops falling over me

Filling this small pond

After all is said and done

The ground it is all gone

My heart is all but broken

Remains of you left behind

In my heart you shall stay

Forever on my mind

I Will Be Ok

I have cried too many tears over you

I have sulked in the corner alone

I have found myself wishing I was no more

But you know what

I am ok!

I have spent too much time on the dark side

I have wasted countless hours wondering

Wondering why you cannot return this love

But you know what

I am ok!

I have come to the answer of a question

That has been drifting around in my heart

If having your heart is this painful

Is it really worth it

I wonder

But

I am ok!

I have found myself to be strong

Realizing one thing

You will come to your senses someday

Open your ears to your heart

Then it may be too late

I'll end up crying more tears

But you know what

I will be ok!

Missing Us

I lay awake in this bed

Longing to have you near me

Feeling the gentle caress of your hand

The beating of your heart

Missing the nights we used to share

Lying awake at all hours

Just talking about nothing

Pillow fights and face making

Those silent moments

Where nothing said something

When listening to the children sleep

Brought such satisfaction to our souls

When we felt as if we were one

I miss those times

Now we just lie here

In silence

Now nothing says nothing

But it does
