Ripley’s Horse Aid Foundation is not just about neglect prevention for
horses and their fellow equines. It is about helping good people in difficult
situations. Most all of us can relate to how close the bond can become
between a family and their beloved pet. These animals are part of the family
and add to the emotional wellness of the home. This is also very true for
the role that the horse plays for those that bring them into their lives.
No one gets a horse to not take care if it. It begins as a long or short
time dream of a what will make their life and family complete.
When tragedy strikes it does not happen in a considerate manner,
asking you if this is a good time to lose your job, or have a major illness
befall a family member. When life happens, we hang on to those things that
mean the most, with the hope that things will get better and all will be
well. Unfortunately for some it only gets worse.
Ripley’s HAF and you can bring to these families hope of a better tomorrow.
Volunteer!
1) You can volunteer for a RHAF
county
staff positions or become part of RHAF
county volunteer pool
If you wish to volunteer some time in helping alleviate
the pain and suffering of the abused, neglected, and abandoned horses
in Washington State there is a place for you. Whether it is volunteering
at an equine rescue in your area or to participate in the Ripley's Horse
Aid Foundation, you are needed and the rewards in assisting are very satisfying.
2) You can make a donation.
Donations go into Ripley's H.A.F. general fund to provide
emergency supplies and services, to promote public awareness, and to implement
fundraising projects unless specified otherwise. Donations received for
a specific participating county becomes dedicated funding for that county.
3) You can purchase artwork
Artwork and hand crafted gifts are available from the
RHAF gallery "Art 4 Horses". All proceeds go directly into Ripley's Horse
Aid Foundation's general fund.
