Who is the Firstborn? It is Jesus Christ!
Colossians 1:15 NIV - He is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn over all creation.
Colossians 1:18 NIV - And He is the head of the body, the Church; He is the beginning, and the Firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.
We are Christian Motorcycle Riders as well as non-riding Christians, that have been called upon to spread the word that the Firstborn,
a.k.a. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and our Lord and Savior! He died on the Cross for all our sins, and by His grace we shall be saved from eternal damnation! He has a couple of small request from us though, these are "very small" considering the price He paid for us.
First, one must hear the truth about the word of God
(Romans 10:17).
Second, we must believe in God and Christ
(John 14:1 and Hebrews 11:6).
Third, we must repent of our sins (Luke 13:3).
Fourth, we must confess that Christ is the Son of God
(Matthew 10:23).
Fifth, we must be Baptized (a burial in water) for the remission of sins
(Romans 6:3,4 & Acts 8:26-39).
After you accomplish all of these small tasks, you too can and will be added to Christ`s Church!
Good Life Scriptures
These are some of my favorite scriptures that I have read and would like to share with you in hopes that you can find comfort in them.
For Love - Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it:
Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39).
For Temptation - No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it
(1 Corinthians 10:13).
For Friendship - A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother
(Proverbs 18:24).
For Courage - Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you
wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
For Compassion - When you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed
(Luke 14:13-14).
For Hope - I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. (John 8:12)
Keith`s personal message to you.
We have all probably "passed the buck" or in other words blamed others for our failures at one time or another. The only way to fix these failures is to first admit that we did wrong and it was our choice to do so. We must come to realize our own responsibility for the trips we are on, whether its the so called insanity trip, drug trip, drink trip, rebellion trip, or the immorality trip. We must acknowledge our responsibility and want a change to take place. Once you`ve done this then its time for God`s mercy and forgiveness. The Bible says that we must die for the way we live our lives, but Christ takes our penalty and offers us forgiveness. The conditions for this are listed above and believe me, that is a very small price for us to pay to receive eternal life.
As the first step to your "new life" please recognize Jesus Christ as your "Lord and Savior"!
