PURPOSE & ACTIVITIES

The Red Feather Historical Society, Inc. is a Colorado not for profit, tax exempt corporation that was established in 1985 with the following purpose:

The Society is an umbrella organization, the sole purpose of which is to promote activities that will benefit the people and environment of Red Feather Lakes through some of the following:

Gathering of tangible historical materials significant to the area, providing a process by which memorabilia can be left to the Society and in turn would be cared for, catalogued and displayed in such manner that would be correct historically and educational, as well as tastefully displayed for enjoyment by the public.

To provide educational tours and events about the area and other historical sites in the Rocky Mountain West.

Sponsoring a Christmas marketplace to bring people of all the surrounding area together in celebration of the season by providing a place for booths specializing in original arts and crafts and promoting community holiday activities.

To obtain historical buildings from the area that could be placed on a prominent site in the Red Feather Lakes village and in time would lead to a Museum.
