1And YAHUWAH spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, 2This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
What is Yahuwah asking each household today to do on the 10th of the Abib? Does he want us to ignore this because we are unable to locate a live lamb meeting this description? I believe we are to take all or none of the Word of Yahuwah. I chose ALL!
We know the Lamb is Yahushua but what is so different that he wants of us with Yahushua on the tenth day of the Abib? What is so special about the Abib? It is the first month of the year and all wonderful rebirthing takes place at this time. Its beautiful spring time and the world awakens at this time.
How do you bring Yahushua, the sacrificial lamb, into your home? Prepare a very special teaching for your household on the Sacrificial Lamb. It should begin on the tenth of Abib..
4And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his needs shall make your count for the lamb.
Your teaching is so special that, if there are only two of you, you may need to invite your neighbors to share with you the lamb, Yahushua. Now, you are to make sure your teachings are elevated or aligned in accordance of your neighbor’s needs.
5Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
Your teaching shall be well prepared, without flaw. It should be one of honor (male) and newly birthed (not from yester year but one prepared for such a time as this). Your lesson can be planned from the from the Prophets or from the Gospels. I truely wonder, if the goats are representative of non-Gospel Writings in the Renewed Covenant.
6And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
You have five days to teach this lesson in preparation for Pesache and on the fourteenth day, you are to terminate the teaching of the lesson officially in the evening. And sacrifice the Passover is the celebration of the Cedar Mean, within A Holy Convocation or Gathering…
How do you kill the Lamb? By becoming the Lamb and allowing your flesh to die, so that Set Apartness Can Reign within you.
7And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
Cover yourself, your homes with the blood of the Lamb… Eating of the Lamb is a symbolic act for allowing Yahushua, Ruach HaQudesh to fill your temple. Many will be cleaning their homes prior to Pesache.. Do not just clean it of unleavened bread but clean it of sin and put the blood of Yahushua over every doorpost and on all sideposts in your home.
8And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. 9Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
Taking in Yahushua in its fullness whereas you are the lamb. You become the Lamb, from head to toe… all of you go through the fire of purification. The Unleaven bread represents NO SIN left in you.
10And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
During this special time of sacrifice (prayers and praise), take all of His Glory within you. Do not allow any of your flesh to remain out of the Spirit. If any flesh (sin) is left in the morning, burn all that remains… Go through a second purification before Yahuwah.
11And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is YAHUWAH's passover.
I truly love this verse best of all. With Loins girded with Truth, Your feet shrodded with Shalom, and Your Staff in your Hand (The Word of Yahuwah or Torah is our guide and our correction), you shall eat (take in Ruach) in haste. It is Yahweh’s Passover.
12For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am YAHUWEH. 13And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
In your obedience, Yahuwah shall slain your enemies (both man and beasts) and spare your offspring. Yahweh shall take a stand to execute judgement over every pagan god of Egypt. This is the first line, where I see literal interpretation as very important because when you consider that we many are in Egypt today here in America, and other countries where Christianity is a dominate religion. He still promises that this land will be smitten. Even today our people are persecuted by pagans. Our Indigenous brethren are persecuted as well by pagans. Abba promised that those who observe His Passover, will be redeemed.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to YAHUWAH throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
Yahuwah wants this observance kept in order that your children and their children’s children shall know of what Yahuwah has done for our ancestors.
15Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
Leviticus (Wayyiqra)23:6 explains that there is a Seven Day Feast of Unleaven Bread, which begins the day following Passover (the 15th day of Abib). On the first day of this Feast is when you are instructed to eat only unleaven bread for seven days.
This is I believe a literal command but more importantly is the Spiritual Command associated…on Passover you have cleansed yourself--- inside and outside of all sin. You went through fire purification… Abba instructs you to remain in the state of purity for seven days… NO SIN…. This is so much more important than eating Matza or whatever form of unleaven bread you digest.
The discipline of fasting leaven is wonderful but what good is it to not eat leaven and bring sin into your temple during this Set Aside Time in Yahuwah. If you are backbiting or refusing to help someone or have not forgiven someone, it is futile to avoid leaven.
Living a sinless life for seven days should be the greatest quest ~ teaching and reaching and sharing than any other possible lesson. This is truly a Get Back Up Again Season but the best representation for our loving Father is to Stay UP for Seven Days…. Just do not sin. Do not gossip…. Stay set apart away from situations or persons whom lead you toward the little snares that so easily beset us.
16And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
17And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
18In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
Apparently since you have been cleansed of sin on Passover, You are asked to not eat unleaven bread on Passover as well. NO SIN!
19Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
I would take this statement very literal. Yahuwah says do not sin during this time. Of course not sinning is much more challenging than not eating leaven. Well, we are to adhere to both but please avoid sin at all cost. It is a heavy cost for both those who are part of the family and those visiting. Why now... following Passover because if His Own Begotten son died at this time for our sins, we need to do all in our power as a memorial to his Great Sacrifice for us and sacrifice for Him.
20Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
21Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
This could be literal as well as spiritual. This is interesting that this part is not taught for practice. On Passover Night… there should be a quiet time within your households where you and your family are in prayer of thanksgiving until morning.
23For YAHWEH will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, YAHWEH will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
24And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
25And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which YAHWEH will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
This is perhaps one of the verses, which leads to the belief that this observance is to be done in Jerusalem and we are incorrect to do so here in the Americas. Yet, if one would read using eyes of ruach it will learn that Passover did not only take place in the Exodus from Egypt.
Being new in Hebraic Truths, I never thought seriously about keeping the Feast Day; however, weeks before my first schedule Pesache two major visions were given to me. The first was two weeks prior, when I had a very serious matter brought to my attention. Upon learning that what was intended to be significantly devestating becoming clearly a Yah temporal matter, I was miraculously relieved. At 4:00 in the morning Yahuwah revealed to me in ruach auditorically that "I have been Passed Over". From that moment, forward I understood that by the Blood of Yahoshua, I was protected from destruction. From that moment on, I garnered a very special respect for Passover and knew I was to observe it. Perhaps, it is how it is being observed that I do not agree.
Verse 24 makes it so clear to us that we are to do this forever. This appears to be much more pronounced than where to observe it. Now, when the Israelites reached the Promised Land, they were to observe the Passover. My Spiritual Understanding tells me that once Yahweh delivers you from your captors and places you in a state of liberty and well being, remember HIS DEEDS for YOUR People/ His Children.
When we came out bondage from Slavery in America, we all did not go to a new place of freedom. Many went North but most remained hoping to Share Crop or to whatever state of liberty they could garner. I do believe Yahuwah would have expected our fore-fathers then to commemorate this second Exodus for those whom experienced The PASSOVER.
26And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
27That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of YAHUWAH's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
28And the children of Israel went away, and did as YAHUWAH had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
29And it came to pass, that at midnight YAHUWAH smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.
30And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
31And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve YAHWEH, as ye have said.
32Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
33And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
34And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
35And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: There is a spiritual lesson here. I must pray on this.
36And YAHUWAH gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
37And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.
38And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
Be mindful that there was a mixed mutlitude that left Egypt. Perhaps, Egyptians left as well. This is a testiment of the Grafting in of Gentiles began from their very beginning travels out of Kemet.
39And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
This is a beautiful story that must be read to our children, every single generation must know of the Great Work that YAHWEH performed. If no other time of the year, we must do so on the calendar date set for Passover, as described by Yahweh.
40Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
41And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of YAHWEH went out from the land of Egypt.
42It is a night to be much observed unto YAHWEH for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of YAHWEH to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
43And YAHWEH said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:
This is where I find the manner that we celebrated Pesach not aligned with Scripture. I invited everyone I could think of but verse 43 instructs us to only share this with believers. Well, perhaps we were alright because my guest believed in God, not His True Name. They believed that the Jews were freed, but not knowing them as our ancestors: Hebrew Israelites. So, would Yah approve of them partaking Cedar Meal, even if we were in Jerusalem at the time. This is perhaps where Truth and Spirit comes to the threshing floor. Many have claimed salvation through Jesus and do walk as Yahushua walks... This is the Spiritual Blessing of Abba's sacrificial Passover- the Atonement of our sins. Yet, because of our history, they do not know Abba's Truths. Most would not participant in fear of it affecting their salvation but what about those who are curious. Does their curiosity graft them in?
44But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
45A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.
I am praying for spiritual revelation for verses 43-45.
46In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
47All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
48And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to YAHUWAH, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
What is meant by circumcision in Spirit? you must be a followerer of Torah and a Covenant Keeper to participate in Passover. If you are a follower of Torah, the males over twelve would be circumcized during biblical time.
49One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
50Thus did all the children of Israel; as YAHWEH commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
51And it came to pass the selfsame day, that YAHWEH did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
This may be very important to perform a further study of Scriptures. I am not so certain we are to gather for Passover but I am certain we are to teach our children the wondrous work of ABBA in delivering our foreparents. In addition, I think Passover is to be remembered and commemorated within our homes with our families and those neighboring believers. Our primary purpose would be to be in prayer watch. It is not about the physical leg of lamb, though we cooked one. It is not about the four cups of wine, which I pledge I will never be part of in a open sacred ceremony (it is a heritage issue that I realize many Hebrews in America cannot tolerate).
If we truly begin to read Scriptures Spiritually, and we observe the Spiritual lessons intended by the Feasts, we would be able to observe this without fear of being disobedient nor pagan.
To all those who may read this MidRash, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I AM A STUDENT OF THE WORD AND DO NOT WRITE WITH ANY FORM OF AUTHORITY BUT THAT OF RUACH.
Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
