We rescue: dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, small rodents and some reptiles. We are a 501 ( c) 3, NO KILL facility that serves the interior of Alaska.

We founded, support and run a low cost spay and neuter program for the interior of Alaska called Project S.N.I.P. (Spay and Neuter Interiors Pets).

We provide special services to low income families for their pets such as: free dog or cat food, free boarding for woman’s pets that must enter the local Center for Non Violent Living (Center for Abused Women and their families), the local rescue mission, and incarcerated persons.  These services allow people to retain their pets and resume normal living.

We have provided other special services on an as needed basis to help families with their pet problems and to help keep families together with their pets.

We have a flexible adoption program, a foster care system, an onsite adoption center and are dream is to build a one stop animal care center.

We are an all volunteer organization, we have no paid staff, so all are funds go to support the animals and the community.

We have been rescuing animals since 2003 as an organization, but many of our members have been doing it most of their lives.

I am involved in dog/cat rescue but certainly am interested in assisting in any species of animal in the need of help. I also do transports.

One suggestion I have is that many times when people send out emails asking for help in rescue, adoption, needing funds, etc., they don’t realize that their email may travel all over the Country and many times valuable contact information is left out such as area codes for contact telephone numbers, locations where the animal is located that is in need, alternate email contact addresses and who the contact person is.  If this information is included then it saves time in trying to find out these particulars.

Founded in 1961 the Humane Society of Weld County opened the doors to its new facility in September 1999. We are the only 501(c) 3 non-profit animal shelter in Weld County.
This facility provides care and shelter to over 7,000 homeless and unwanted pets in our community each year.
It is a priority of the Humane Society of Weld County to adopt out healthy and behaviorally sound animals to our caring community. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals who need our help every year. It costs the shelter about $25 per day for each animal.
Most of the animals we receive are dogs or cats, but we also take-in rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, reptiles and rodents. Visit our Animals to Adopt page to see who is currently looking for a new home. Unfortunately, we cannot house injured wildlife or farm animals.

The Bahamian Animal Rescue Committee (B.A.R.C.) was formed in April, 2005 to assist the Humane Society of Grand Bahama in their ongoing efforts in West End concerning animal population control, spay and neuter programs, and disease mitigation.  The situation with wild dogs and cats has worsened since the hurricanes devastated the village in 2004.  There are many more puppies and kittens in the village, resulting in a large homeless population.

General info: Have always been rescuing animals in need one way or  another, rescuing several from death row at our humane society, taking in starving feral cats, trying to find homes for abandoned  animals or animals that others can no longer care for. My sister in  law and I want to eventually have some place to take in some of these  animals and have already registered the name of Rescue Haven. Right  now we are totally grass roots , no location other than home and so  all we can do at this stage is help others help the animals and help  find homes when emails or phone calls come our way. Also, we check  the humane society regularly to see who has been there too long and  try to find someone to adopt that animal (there are people that  would take them in if they knew about them but if they themselves do not go to the humane society they would never know about that  animal.) I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a horse.
I would not say I have any specialty; I would help any animal in need.

I have been actively doing rescue for over 35 years in 8 different states. I have worked within a shelter as both volunteer and staff. I am currently involved in both dog and cat rescue with several different groups. I usually take on the ones that come into the rescue broken either emotionally or physically or both. I usually will only take one or two dogs at a time or a mom with pups or puppies.

I have birthed both puppies and kittens, taken care of broken bones, blind, deaf and both dogs and cats that have been traumatized. I have a very good vet that will find answers for me if he doesn't know. I have had many experiences doing rescue and would love to be on a site that I can share those experiences with others and also learn from others.

Cat, dog and small animal rescue.

DAAR is a consortium of animal rescue groups, medical care providers, city and government employees, concerned citizens and many others that have come together for the sole purpose of saving the peninsulas stray and homeless animals. The Association is in it’s infancy but expects to create a safety net for those animals within a very short period. We are drawing upon some of the best talent available in our area to create and implement S-N-R programs, mobile spay/neuter clinics, public education programs and a series aimed towards our area's youths in an effort to create a new generation of responsible pet owners.

At the moment DAAR does not have a non-profit certificate, however, many of the members and groups within the Association are registered non-profits.

We are a small, private rescue, licensed by the State of Missouri in June 2004.
We specialize in senior & special needs fur-kids.
We offer Hospice care for dying fur-kids as space permits.
We may take in a puppy or young fur-kid as space permits.

This site is dedicated to Max, rescued by Carolyn, & Lady, rescued by Connie.
Both were seniors that were in kill shelters & were "Naturals" when visiting the care center.
Because of them, this rescue was born.

Our pets are completely vetted including but not limited to altered, vaccinated, dental &a microchip before being placed for adoption.
Most, yet not all, visit the local care center to become familiar with medical equipment.
The goal is to get the senior pets into senior homes or non-senior homes with a low energy lifestyle.

We list for the Cole Camp & Lincoln City Pounds. These are rural pounds, 2 dog capacity each. The profiles of pound dogs are noted accordingly.
$50 Adoption fee on pound dogs includes spay/neuter & Rabies.

We are a member of The Senior Guardian Angels. We speak for those that have no voice.

I rent so cannot do rescue out of my house, but I drive for  3 different transport lines to get the critters to a rescue
In addition to working for Petfinder for 3 years and doing transports I also occasionally take in bottle babies and was an animal control officer/animal cruelty investigator for 5 years. I did senior dog/cat rescue in my old house and as soon as I am out of a renting situation I will return to it - and I can't wait!

I am available almost any time to assist with an emergency situation that needs hands on help (driving the animals, paperwork for them, etc) and of course emotional support if anyone needs to talk. It's hard work.

Dogs, puppies, cats, kittens

We are a small no-kill shelter (approximately 30 dogs and 30 cats).  We admit any breed or mixed breeds and have occasionally taken in special-needs animals.  Though we have adopted to families as far as Ontario, due to space limitations, we only admit animals from Franklin County.

I personally answer every email and phone call I get from around the world. For instance, what to do when you find a pit bull, etc. Around five years ago, I founded Animals First Rescue, a co-op style online rescue to help all of those animals who weren't lucky enough to be born a pit bull.
Reunion Rescue and Animals First Rescue are now primarily located in Austin, Texas, but still actively rescue in California and help all animals in need no matter what their address. We can advise on dogs, cats, birds, wildlife and other animals through our networking abilities...from screech owls to iguanas...literally!!!  We are trying to start a feral cat SNR here at Lake Travis.
We also provide nutritional information and behavioral information on our site as well as great resources that have worked for us in saving animals. There is almost always an answer.

We have been an Animal Control agency for over 25 years.  In the past few years we have started to participate in new programs and come up with innovative if ideas of our own to drastically decrease the amount of euthanasia performed within municipal shelters.  We currently send animals to over 85 rescue partners and reduced our euthanasia by 30%.  We are dedicated to changing how the public perceives animal control agencies or as we more often known as, "pounds".

We still have a long way to go and would love feedback from anyone.  We also have lots of great information to share as well.

Saving Lives One Adoption at a Time – More Than 10,000 Forever Homes Found Since 2001

We do feline and canine rescue, but also are a permanent home to several rescued farm animals, which we accept on a very limited case by case basis (currently 2 horses, 9 pot bellies, 11 pigs, 6 goats 3 donkeys and 3 longhorns)

We pull from rural shelters, and normally do not accept owner surrendered animals. While we look at each animal on a case by case basis, because they are housed at a facility with other dogs, they have to be good with other dogs. There is rarely an exception made for this.

We rescue cats & dogs as well as handicapped animals. Welcome to Saving Furry Friends, Inc. Both a rescue and sanctuary, we are dedicated to saving shelter dogs (and cats) whose time has run out.

We rescue and care for abandoned and abused pets and strive to find loving forever homes where they can thrive. Many of the companion animals that we rescue are literally minutes from death.  They may be strays, owner surrenders, abuse cases, or have medical problems but the one thing they all have in common is that they are society's throw-a ways and without rescue, they have no chance!

As a sanctuary, we provide long-term love and care to animals deemed unadoptable; either because of age, medical issues or behavioral issues. They are our Sanctuary Residents.

While providing care for pets and finding forever homes for them is our main focus, we are also committed to informing the public about the importance of spaying/neutering their pets, thus reducing the number of unwanted animals that end up in already over crowded shelters.

The animal friends Duisburg eV was founded in 1975. Die ca. The approximately 400 active and passive members of the association to promote and support animal welfare.

Our main concern is to help helpless animals. Key tasks in this sense, the organization of trips for the city of Duisburg, injured or exposed to animals to salvage, and to provide veterinary care. We could previously cats, dogs, birds, hedgehogs, turtles, domesticated rats, mice, ferrets, a cockatoo, chinchillas, wild ducks and swans help, and we had even turned a desert fox, a so-called "Fenek," we in Duisburg Zoo could accommodate.

Also, a circus, which was stranded in Duisburg, could benefit from our help. The 48 animals in the circus were with us we collect food donations supplies. As the circus had to cancel its tents  he left us a pony that was placed there by the federal government against the abuse of the animals' supply.

A large proportion of our time voluntary work and care goes to the cats, cats and the cat’s babies, as the cats in Duisburg misery as everywhere is very big. We catch stray, cats with traps that they can sterilize, vaccinate and then they bring in their familiar surroundings back, unless domestication not in the spirit of the animal is There is rarely possible and within the meaning of the animal, wild cats in a new home to give it one of the cats means severe stress and on the other side always remain shy and wild. In Duisburg and its surroundings, there is thankfully a lot of people cared feeding wild cat populations. Important and useful it is for such feeding, however, that not only the animals fed, but also to be castrated, sometimes, we support these additional feeding of fodder donations, often because their carers are animals that are no longer at their place of origin will be brought back , but nonetheless are wild, to feed their bodies.

. Since the founding of our association, we proclaim the neutering of cats. This measure of sterilization is much indescribable misery prevented. With each throw countless kittens are born, for which there is no place later, which are unwelcome and are chased everywhere. Abandoned, desolate and ill mistaken them around. If you consider that the offspring of a female cat after 10 years over 80 million animals can make any cat owner, his pet is not sterilized, complicit.

In the spirit of the animals so we ask again and again every cat owner, sterilize their animals or to be castrated. We will be happy to offer our assistance with questions and advice.

Since 1996, the association maintains a home (see "Our house cats"), which constantly about 35 cats (see "Too mediating animals") are housed at the mediation (see "on the agency") to a waiting for new home or seriously injured are well cared for. The association could this house through a succession acquire energetic and many employees have the house in loving Leisure refurbished and work for a loving housing animals prepared. There is also twice a week to convey the cats instead (see "mediation").

Because our volunteers are constantly overwhelmed, we ask all people to love animals for their active participation in our club (see "My Help"). We are there for each active volunteer, but also for financial, promotional assistance, including in the form of property-(scratch trees, baskets, Klöchen etc.) or food donations appreciated.

Donations made to us, are tax deductible. On request, we will send you a receipt from donations accepted.

"We look for and find Foster homes for animals that are waiting or need to be rehomed"

We are a small group of animal fosterers who have been in animal care for years.

We foster animals till we find them new homes, which can take anything from days, to weeks or sometime even years.

We all do this on a voluntary basis in our spare time.

We run totally on kind donations which go straight to our ongoing Vets and food bills, every penny is spent on the animals for food and veterinary treatment.

All animals are fostered in our own homes which is hard at times, but very rewarding when we find a new home for each animal.

We are always looking for people who are willing to foster animals for us till permanent homes can be found.
We mainly foster cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, chickens, goats, ponies, and birds. Occasionally dogs too, if we have the foster space we need.

We also have help from a lovely lady known as the dog listener. She is always there to help with any problems.
W
e also have great local vets who are always willing to give us any advice needed.
We are a small group but if we can´t help we pass on telephone numbers of other rescues and organizations that may be able too.

We are of the opinion that all animal groups should help each other if possible.

This website has been created and is being maintained by a family of animal lovers.

In November, 1999 we adopted a beautiful American Eskimo Dog puppy and named him Gulli (DOB: October 28, 1999).  It was then that we started to take a keen interest in all dogs and other creatures.  Soon we realized how animals are being subjected to pain and suffering, how birds are being driven to extinction by thirst and hunger and how wildlife is being obliterated by heartless urbanization.  We came to know that some people are unnecessarily cruel to the animals and some others are not even treating their own pets fairly.

On the other hand, we came across people who had a soft corner for animals in distress, but did not know how to help them.  They did not know how to contact veterinary hospitals, they did not know about the existence of animal ambulance and they were unaware of the humane societies working for animal welfare.

We realized that suffering of animals can be mitigated to a considerable extent by (1) spreading awareness about the need to be kind to the animals, and (1) creating reliable data to help the kind-hearted people to help the animals.  It was with this dual objective in mind that we created this site on 1st February, 2004.

If you are a kind-heated person, join us in our endeavor.  There are many things that you can do and others that you may refrain from doing to lessen the suffering in the animal world.  You can also help by spreading word about this site.  You can support the cause of animals and inspire others to do so.  This way you will contribute towards building a more beautiful world.

Since 1984, Concern for Helping Animals in Israel (CHAI) has been working to improve the lives of animals in Israel. Together with our Israeli sister charity, Hakol Chai, we are launching this new, and tremendously expanded, website.

CHAI ONLINE contains a wealth of in-depth information about issues related to animals, and it also highlights current projects, future plans, and past successes. Our goal is to continuously update and expand the material we present as a complete educational resource, both in English and Hebrew. In addition, we are planning a presentation of the entire site in Arabic.

The mission of CHAI and Hakol Chai is to prevent and relieve animal suffering in Israel and to elevate consciousness about animals through education. We strive to foster empathy, respect, and responsibility toward all living beings, and to inspire and empower people, Jewish, Muslim, and Christian, to recognize the interconnectedness of all life and to make compassionate choices for the good of all.

We believe that animals do not exist to serve human needs, and we are opposed to the exploitation of animals in all its forms. CHAI and Hakol Chai approach the challenge of reducing animal suffering with concurrent initiatives. Some of these efforts result in abolishing a particular form of abuse, while others result in regulations that reduce abuse through incremental changes. Nevertheless, we believe that all animal exploitation must ultimately be abolished and not merely regulated.

The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for white, or women created for men.

— Alice Walker

It should not be believed that all beings exist for the sake of the existence of man. On the contrary, all the other beings too have been intended for their own sakes and not for the sake of anything else.

— Rabbi Moses Maimonides (1135-1204), Guide for the Perplexed

BETA is a non profit organization and run by a very dedicated group of volunteers. Whether walking dogs, spending time with cats, helping organize fundraising events or getting new sponsors, there is something you can do. We are always in need of professional services, so if you are a graphic designer or work on websites, a professional translator or lawyer, we would like to meet with you to see how your skills could compliment BETA.

Our goal of Lebanon as a place where all animals are treated with the respect they deserve is only possible with your support. Whether this is helping abandoned cats or dogs or spaying and neutering animals on the street, become a sponsor of BETA today and add your support to the only organization in Lebanon helping animals. Your support will make all the difference.
