Not much is known about the Arafura File Snake. Research and new discoveries are being made all the time.

File Snakes are fully aquatic but have been know to appear on land for breeding in the wild. In captivity they show no interest in leaving the water.

We feed ours on medium sized goldfish once a week.

As yet we haven't bred file snakes as we have only recently acquired yearlings.

We have been very fortunate to be able to film footage of the file snakes hunting for goldfish.
