Baron Renfrew is one of the titles of the Scottish
peerage automatically inherited by the heir apparent as heir
to the throne of Scotland. Like Duke of Rothesay, Earl of
Carrick, Lord of The Isles and Great Steward of Scotland,
the title was confirmed by an Act of the Scottish Parliament
in 1469, which conferred it forever upon the first born
prince of the King of Scots. Since the Union of The Crowns
in 1603 the Scottish titles have descended alongside the
Duchy of Cornwall, either being held by the heir apparent or
reverting to the Crown.
