Chinese ‘Neo-Nazi’?

One of the greater of my ‘politically incorrect crimes’ according to the likes of such great ‘scholars’ as Dr Scott Hamilton and wannabe Doc, Roel Van Leeuwen, and Jeremy Rose of Radio NZ and Scoop Review of Books, et al, is that I have written objectively in regard to some aspects of some policies of Hitler’s Germany, particularly in regard to public health (as per Dr Robert N Proctor, The Nazi War on Cancer, Princeton Uni. Press, 1999), and in regard to certain social and financial policies which were in some respects akin to New Zealand’s much lauded 1935 Labour Government. I have also questioned as to whether the outcome of World War II should have given rise to a wholly optimistic outlook, adopting a somewhat more cynical attitude that I first encountered when becoming interested in politics as a teenager, from stalwart NZ conservatives of the time who had been war veterans and had come to wonder what kind of world they had fought for (e.g. the late Sgt. Ron Keen, Major Wilcox, Cliff Emeny, et al).

When I questioned the smear-mongering rants Marxist Scott Hamilton directed primarily at Martin Doutré, the archaeological researcher, using me in a tenuous guilt by association technique, as to whether I can be called ‘NZ’s leading neo-Nazi’, Scoop Review of Books Editor Jeremy Rose responded by saying that he had read an essay by me written a few years ago, entitled “An Open Letter to the War Generation”, which in his view made me unquestionably a neo-Nazi.

As I’ve shown elsewhere on my website www.freewebs.com/renaissancepress posing cynical questions in regard to the purposes and outcome of World War II is not the prerogative of neo-Nazis, but has been raised in recent years by eminent columnist Eric Margolis, of Jewish descent, Pat Buchanan, and others.

The following few paragraphs are culled from a lengthy essay by Chinese economist Henry Liu, and give a very rare insight into the reasons for the success of Hitler’s economic policies during the Great Depression. In fact, the only other place I’ve read of Hitler’s credit policies in any detail was in (Sir) Henry Kelliher’s popular home journal The Mirror, published during the 1930s. (A review of the article is available from Renaissance Press, in my booklet The Root of All Evil). It surely must be assumed that Dr Liu will be added to the list of ‘leading neo-Nazis’, Anti-Semites, white supremacists, Holocaust deniers…. according to the likes of Jeremy Rose, Roel Van Leeuwen and Scott Hamilton. Considering Jon Eisen of Uncensored Magazine, who is a Jewish veteran of the US civil rights movement, has also been added  near the top of the Marxist Blacklist by Hamilton, Dr Liu is surely a prime candidate also?

And Jeremy Rose informs me that being of Maori or Jewish descent, for e.g. would not preclude one from being a ‘Nazi’, since Hitler’s Germany did not have any animosity towards Maori, and included those of Jewish descent in the military. But the question is: would it preclude one from being a ‘neo-Nazi’?

The entire article and the rest of the series published by Asia Times is well worth reading as to the insights it gives on the world financial system:

Nazism and the German economic miracle

 By Henry C K Liu

Henry C K Liu is chairman of the New York-based Liu Investment Group.

Hitler's economic miracle The Nazis came to power in Germany in 1933, at a time when its economy was in total collapse, with ruinous war-reparation obligations and zero prospects for foreign investment or credit. Yet through an independent monetary policy of sovereign credit and a full-employment public-works program, the Third Reich was able to turn a bankrupt Germany, stripped of overseas colonies it could exploit, into the strongest economy in Europe within four years, even before armament spending began. In fact, German economic recovery preceded and later enabled German rearmament, in contrast to the US economy, where constitutional roadblocks placed by the US Supreme Court on the New Deal delayed economic recovery until US entry to World War II put the US market economy on a war footing. While this observation is not an endorsement for Nazi philosophy, the effectiveness of German economic policy in this period, some of which had been started during the last phase of the Weimar Republic, is undeniable. …….

…….Under the scheme of "pre-financing" with work-creation bills, the Reich Finance Ministry distributed these WCBs (three months, renewable up to five years) to participating credit institutions and public agencies. Contractors and suppliers who required cash to participate in work-creation projects drew bills against the agency ordering the work or the appropriate credit institutions. These credit institutions then accepted (assumed liability for payment of) the bills, which, now treated as commercial paper, could rediscount the bills at the Reichsbank (central bank). The entire process of drawing, accepting and discounting WCBs provided the cash necessary to pay the contractors and suppliers. The experience of successful rollover every three months quickly established credit worthiness. The Reich Treasury undertook to redeem these bills, one-fifth of the total every year, between 1934 and 1938, as the economy and tax receipts recovered. As security for the bills, the Reich Treasury deposited with the credit institutions a corresponding amount of tax vouchers (Steuergutscheine) or other securities. As the Treasury redeemed WCBs, the tax vouchers were to be returned to the Treasury. Hitler increased the money supply in the German economy by creating special money for employment.

……. Nazi economic experts understood that sovereign credit creation for purposes of job creation posed no inflationary threat and that it would be a far more responsible policy than the conservative approach of tax increases and welfare cuts to balance government budgets. The idiotic policy of monetary restraint and social-spending reduction to balance government budgets in order to pay foreign debts is still being advocated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in debtor nations around the world - except for the United States, the world's largest debtor nation, which uses dollar hegemony as an escape hatch or, more to the point, escape hedge. Redeeming WCBs did burden the 1934-39 Reich budget, but the decline in Reich expenditure for welfare support and other tax subsidies as a result of full employment recovery more than offset the redemption payments. The surplus was then used to reduce public debt and taxes further. ……

MORE 'NEO-NAZISM'?

Poor Trot. Dr Scott - 'I was stupid drunk' - Hamilton, and his Zionist and Leftist fellow-travellers (not to forget fellow scholar Roel Van Leeuwen). The diabolical neo-Nazis and revisionists are everywhere, including within the Russian Ministry of Defence. Ultimately it seems logical to conclude, based on recent claims by Dr Scotty that it seems likely the real power behind this recent manifestation of WWII revisionism must be none other than that pervasive neo-Nazi, anti-Semitic, revisionist coterie of Doutre, Bolton and Eisen....

Russian military historian blames Poland for WWII

By MIKE ECKEL – Jun 4, 2009

MOSCOW (AP) — As the Kremlin presses a campaign to recast Russia's 20th century history in a more favorable light, a research paper published Thursday on the Defense Ministry's Web site blamed Poland for starting World War II.

The unorthodox reading of history appears to be the latest effort by Russian historians to defend the Soviet Union and its leaders, especially their role in what Russians call the Great Patriotic War. ......

The generally accepted view is that Poland was a victim rather than the aggressor in the conflict, and that Adolf Hitler's 1939 invasion of Poland marked the start of the war. ......

......Blaming Poland would deny Russia played a role in starting the war by sealing the secret accord.

The research paper posted on Russia's Defense Ministry Web site is not an official government statement. But the author is listed as Col. Sergei Kovalyov, director of the scientific-research department of military history, part of the Institute of Military History of the Ministry of Defense.

......

The paper, titled "Fictions and Falsifications in Evaluating the USSR's Role On the Eve of World War II," recounts how in the run-up to Germany's invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939, Hitler demanded that Poland turn over control of the city of Danzig as well as a land corridor between Germany and the territory now known as Kaliningrad.

"Everyone who has studied the history of World War II without bias knows that the war began because of Poland's refusal to satisfy Germany's claims," he writes.

Kovalyov called the demands "quite reasonable." He observed: "The overwhelming majority of residents of Danzig, cut off from Germany by the Treaty of Versailles, were Germans who sincerely wished for reunification with their historical homeland."

ERIC MARGOLIS - "NEO-NAZI"?

Posted by renaissancepress at 06:18 PM on June 11, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Eric Margolis of Canada is one of the most experienced of journalists, with a rare insight into geo-politics. He is an opponent of US global adventurism, and writes for many reputable Canadian newspapers. He has been a lecturer in military history and is widely travelled, a real veteran in international journalism.

Margolis is not afraid to air controversial opinions, albeit ones backed up by deep insights, first-hand experiences, and perspectives of history normally lacking in journalism. On his blogsite Margolis tackled the question of World War II after the comments of Pres. Obama in France marking the Normandy invasion. Writing in a column for 8 June, Margolis states in part:

“METZ, FRANCE June 08, 2009

“President Barack Obama’s visit to Normandy to commemorate the 65th anniversary of D-Day makes us think about the entire course of World War II, and the lingering propaganda or myths that still becloud it…..

“World War II was not a good and evil struggle between `western democracies’ and `totalitarian powers,’ as we are still wrongly taught.

“It was a world conflict over land and resources pitting the British Empire which controlled 25% of the entire globe, the French Empire, Dutch Empire, and Belgian Empire, and, later, the US imperium (Philippines, Pacific possessions, Cuba, Central America), against the Italian and Japanese empires. The Soviet Union was an empire unto itself…..”

GETTING TO THE TRUTH ABOUT WORLD WAR II

http://www.ericmargolis.com/political_commentaries/getting-to-the-truth-about-world-war-ii.aspx

When I wrote a few years back “An Open Letter to the War Generation” in response to an unsolicited letter that was sent to me, I expressed a largely cynical view of WWII, its origins, purposes and outcomes. Similar opinions have been expressed in addition to Margolis, by Pat Buchanan, and even by the pre-eminent WWII historian Prof. A J P Taylor in his “Origins of the Second World War”.

My “Open Letter”, which was aimed at trying to get a veteran to THINK about how they’d been betrayed (in keeping with the opinions I used to hear from NZ vets who were the mainstay of the New Zealand Right when I was a lad first getting interested in politics) was taken up by Australian Dr Toben, an alleged ‘holocaust denier’, and placed at one time of his website for the Adelaide Institute. With much ado, several oddities from the Left, who have the ear of journalists in trying to carve a cheap and easy career for themselves as ‘anti-Nazi crusaders’, have paraded this article – which they never attempt to critique historically – as proof that I am a neo-Nazi etc. In particular Mat Henderson from Australia, whose favourite sport he states is ‘body surfing into fat kids and making them cry’, who has a phobia about ‘fat chicks’ (sic) and who had a really sicko fantasy about Alexander Downer that I’ll not describe here, has referred to this “Open Letter” as proof of my ‘neo-Nazism’. Another oddity, self-described ‘stupid drunk’ Trotskyite Dr Scott Hamilton of Auckland, who has graduated from smearing and threatening fellow communists with trying to establish a name for himself as an ‘expert’ on the pervasive neo-Nazi threat in NZ (like fellow sociologist Dr Paul Spoonley a few decades previously) has stated on such a basis that I work “closely with Toben” (sic); reminiscent of the semiliterate nonsense about me on Wikipedia, which among other things states that I am “a [sic’] associate of the Adelaide Institute.”

Are the likes of Mat Henderson, and Dr Scott Hamilton,– his having a doctorate perhaps again attesting to the poor standards of tertiary education? – now going to rant that Eric Margolis, whom I understand is of Jewish descent, is a ‘neo-Nazi’, a ‘holocaust denier’ etc.? Well, on second thoughts, yes… they probably would… but at least I’d be in good company.
