Rekcilf Native Ponies is a small, family run stud which was founded in 1991, concentrating mainly on dartmoor ponies. We are based in County Durham in the North East. Our foundation mare Langfield Caravelle (Daisy), bought that year, started her career as a lead rein pony and had her first foal in 1994. It was on Daisy's second visit to stud that the idea was hatched to buy a stallion. In 1996 Hisley Diplomat was purchased and has turned out to be the perfect stud stallion.
Since then the stud has grown in leaps and bounds and we now have five breeding mares, we sometimes have show quality stock for sale. Diplomat has produced some outstanding performance and breeding stock and has helped to establish Rekcilf as a respected stud. He also has had stock exported to Holland, Germany, South Africa and the U.S. to date.

Wendy was made a Dartmoor A panel judge for 2007, an acheivement that she is most proud of, she is also a Ponies Association (UK) mixed mountain and moorland judge, and in her first year judged the Smoketree Ceasar First Ridden Premier Championship at the Summer Championship Show in 2006! As well as being a BHS qualified instructor and trainer from the age of 19.
