REIKI TRAINING AT NEW BEGINNINGS

Usui Reiki is my speciality and as a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher I host regular training workshops in 1st and 2nd Degree Reiki usually from New Beginnings above my home in Cudworth, Barnsley, South Yorkshire.  These classes are usually taught on a one-to-one basis or in very small groups to ensure individual attention.  However, you never need feel alone as all my students have access to ongoing support and the opportunity to meet other practitioners at the Reiki share groups meetings.

REIKI HEALING AND HOLISTIC THERAPIES

In addition to Reiki training and healing I also provide a wide range of holistic therapies enhanced with Reiki to accelerate healing on all levels.  These treatments are tailored to individual requirements therefore it might mean a combination of two or more therapies is what is  needed for your healing.  As mentioned above, every healing will include Reiki and the treatment will never be rushed.  A health and lifestyle consultation precedes each treatment and this can be booked free of charge.  Specific aftecare advice will follow and often distance healing is included in the session.

LOCATION

Cudworth is very convenient for those of you living in the surrounding towns and villages of South and West Yorkshire.  It is also easily reached from further afield and if you are travelling from outside the area, as many people do, you will find Barnsley has good road and rail links and Cudworth itself is easily accessible both by car or public transport, being located just three miles from Barnsley town centre.

ON SITE HEALING

However, if you have mobility problems or are unable to travel don't worry as I also offer a mobile complementary therapy service locally to enable you to enjoy  healing at home.  

I also provide Reiki+TAHM or IHM as on-site therapies to reduce stress in the workplace.

REIKI TRAINING

Although the emphasis will eventually be on working intuitively using Japanese Reiki, you will learn a combination of Western and Japanese  techniques, including the Western hand positions in the way I was taught by my Reiki Master, Jagran, at the White Space in Sheffield.   Prior to his retirement, The White Space was renowned for its excellent Reiki training and Jagran forged close links with one of his teachers, Frank Arjava Petter, the author of many Reiki books including "The Original Handbook of Dr Mikao Usui" Lotus Light Publications.  Petter's research changed Reiki history as it was known to us in the West and my teaching is a reflection of his research as passed down through my lineage.

Nowadays Reiki has become a generic term for various types of healing that are not the original Usui Reiki Ryoho (Japanese Reiki) or Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho (Western Reiki) and to prevent confusion the book I recommend to students starting out on their Reiki journey is Frank Arjava Petter's "Reiki Fire" Lotus Light Publications.

Your body has the capacity to self-heal and all these treatments promote deep relaxation and act as a catalyst to trigger this natural healing response.  The effects are cumulative and regular treatment will boost the immune system and encourage optimum wellbeing. However, they are not a substitute for medical treatment and you should always consult a doctor if you are ill.
