Junior Band current strength: 28
The Junior Band gathers *two times a week, namely:
Tuesdays [2:30-4:30pm] ; Combine
Saturdays[7:30am-12pm] ; Combine/Sectionals/Drills
*Extra practices are usually included on any other band days if there is an upcoming competition or performance.
Do give an allowance of up to 15-30mins for falling in, announcements and others before coming down to fetch your child.
The Junior Band is made up of Regenites who have either just entered the school (Sec1s) or are currently in their first year of Band.
During combine, the junior band will have combine and theory lessons with the junior band conductor, Miss Loh Wan Shan.
During the year, they will learn the basics and fundamentals of their instruments and the band, and by the end of the year, they will be required to join their seniors in the main band as well.
Drills are also taught to make sure that the Junior Band learns to be disciplined in the band.
On Saturdays, the junior band members also have sectionals with their respective section leaders so as to learn better about their own instruments.
