The Healing Sixes tournament was on Bank Holiday Monday the 25th May at the Healing Royal British Legion. The squad of 8 was Soggy, Worm, Bob, Boz, Fordy, Coxy, Snowy and Burky and the support they recieved was tremendous. Team Redstar lost the 1st of 3 group games 0-2 to Greenlands, but then beat No 1 Pub B 2-0 with a strike from Boz and a Snowy Edwards penalty, before dispatching Newtons 2-1 with Boz grabbing both goals to finish 2nd in the group and into the knockout stages of the main competition. In the next round they drew 1-1 with MDF Roofing after another goal from Boz which meant the game went to spotkicks. Unfortunatly, missed penalties in the shootout from Coxy and Burky saw Redstar exit the competition. All in all though a fantastic day was had and Chiffy's barbeque and beer tent were the best on site!The annual Team Redstar prensentation night was held at the Empire Pub on Runswick Road, Cleethorpes on Saturday 27th June. The night was also used to present the previous seasons trophies as a venue could not be found the year before so there was plenty of silverware on show. The awards were presented by Redstar legend Jezza Mills and the winners were as follows :

Midweek training is every Wednesday at Hereford school 7 pm - 8 pm on the astroturf for an hours game £2.00 per head. Players old and new welcome.
Bonus ball numbers will be allocated pre season and can only be changed by the winner. £20 subs for £1 a go. If no one's number is drawn then the cash raised goes into club funds.
The subs fee is £3.00 if you are in the starting 11 and £1.50 if you are a used substitute. There is also a £3.00 signing on fee.
If you are running the line and are a used substitute then you will not have to pay any subs.
Please do not allow your monies owing to exceed £10 or you will not be eligable for team selection.
