Team Redstar start their European campaign on Sunday 5th October when they travel to Lincoln to face last seasons Division 4 Champions Hykeham Plough in the 2nd round of the County Cup, having recieved a bye in the 1st round.

Team Redstar have been drawn at home to Louth Utd in the 1st round of the Senior Challenge Cup.

Trophy night on Saturday 9th August has been put on hold whilst another time of day is organised. This may mean a date change or a later KO time so keep watching this space.

As from the 2008/2009 season, Redstar Smarts News Football Club will be plying their trade in Division 2 and will be renamed due to a lucrative sponsorship deal with John Turners Butchers. The new team name will simply be Team Redstar Football Club and will have the John Turners logo on the shirts. The home kit will be red and black stripes and the away kit will be yellow with black trim.

Midweek training is every Wednesday at Hereford school 7 pm - 8 pm on the astroturf for an hours game VS Saturday team Drywall FC and is Ł2.00 per head. Players old and new welcome.

Bonus ball numbers will be allocated pre season and can only be changed by the winner. Ł20 Jackpot for Ł1 a go. If no one's number is drawn then the cash raised goes into club funds.

The subs fee is Ł3.00 if you are in the starting 11 and Ł1.50 if you are a used substitute. There is also a Ł3.00 signing on fee.

If you are running the line and are a used substitute then you will not have to pay any subs.

Please do not allow your monies owing to exceed Ł10 or you will not be eligable for team selection.

Redstar Smarts News Football Club held their annual presentation evening at the Imperial Pub in Cleethorpes and then moved onto Cleethorpes to party the night away. Awards on the night went to Nick Woods for managers player of the year, Ross Atmore for players player of the year, Danny Mccann for goal of the season and Gary Cox for leading scorer with 25 goals even though he did not bother to turn up so his trophy was melted down the ungreatful ****! TEAM REDSTAR FC 0 - 5 THE VALIANT FC

Team Redstar Football Club were missing important players when they hosted The Valiant at Lucarlys. So much so that they were forced to shuffle the pack and start with a 3 - 5 - 2 formation. If that was'nt bad enough, the Val were in no mood to go easy on them as they steamrolled over their old rivals. Without captain Dave Duff and his partner Al Flindall, aswell as impressive fullback Richard Broadley and midfield general Ian Blackmore, Redstar struggled to contain the Val's slick passing and movement. The away side went into the break 2 - 0 up thanks to some woeful defending from set pieces. Redstar rallied after the break and were the better side for a 20 minute spell when they thought they had pulled a goal back through Cameron Westcott but his celebrations were cut short by a linesmans flag. This scuppered Redstar's comeback plans and the Val scored 3 more goals on the break to make it a comfortable victory. Marco Sotgiu in goal for Redstar was man of the match as he kept the Val out to allow his teammates to rally but in the end the Val had the better team all round and deserved the 3 points.
