hello to all of you Homeschool Families! I saw a need out there for an
information directory to serve all of us on the Southside of Atlanta. This site
will be serving Henry, Fayette, and Rockdale Counties in Georgia. I hope you
find this site informative. Please check back often, as we will be updating
frequently.

Athletic
Programs
New Creation Center - "The New Creation Center athletic program serves as an extension of
the classroom and the home schooled athlete." Homeschool Bowling - This
is a terrific way for kids to gather and have fun. It's also a smart sport as it
accomplishes two goals: Personal Achievement and Team Playing. Winter Season is
around the corner, so don't miss out on the opportunity! 
Homeschool Supplemental Programs LEAD -Atlanta area independent educators (some
of whom are LEAD parents) teach a variety of enrichment classes, ranging from
the fine arts and physical education to history and science, designed to
challenge participants and augment home based study programs. Our classes are
offered at all levels--from kindergarten to adult.Classes in the regular LEAD program are held at the Samuel Jones Boys & Girls Club in Decatur (Oakhurst). The winter classes will run for ten sessions from November 27-February 14, with a break the weeks of Christmas and New Year's.

Center - "NCC is a non-denominational Christian educational center designed
to offer academic and athletic programs for your home school and/or traditional
students. As a university-style center for full-time, part-time, and home school
students, you choose the programs and classes that meet your educational needs."
Paragon
Cooperative Learning Academy - "Paragon Cooperative Learning Academy is a
homeschool cooperative that provides enrichment classes to students in the
Rockdale, Newton and surrounding counties. We meet once a week on Tuesday's for
33 weeks per year. Our main focus is to provide science classes with lab
experience for K4-12th grade." Veritas Classical Schools - "Veritas
Classical Schools offers homeschooling families in the metro Atlanta, GA and
Memphis, TN areas a unique compliment to their home study programs with an
emphasis on a classical Christian model of education." There is a location in
McDonough, GA.

information regarding your homeschool student. They do not have a traditional
"Homeschool Day", but they do offer a "Homeschool Program".
Georgia Capitol Homeschool Day - Facilitated by HEIR of Georgia - www.heir.orgMark your calendar for February 14, 2008 and begin to plan your field trip to attend Home Education Day at the Capitol. An excellent field trip for individual families or support groups, Capitol Day provides learning opportunities as well as the fun and excitement of going to Atlanta, riding MARTA to the Capitol, spending the day getting to know more about Georgia state government and our beautiful Capitol, and meeting other home educators and legislators from around the state.
Please note that very young children will not find much to interest them at the Capitol. Elementary age children will be able to benefit from a tour. All tours will include family members of all ages.
