I was born and raised here in Las Vegas. I come from a large family... and I have a large family of my own: My wonderful husband and 6 children. I am laid back, gentle and seek the positive. You can often find me homeschooling, sewing, hiking, reading, working out, seeking knowledge and ejoying life! I know American Sign Language, and would be more than happy to attend births as doula to women in the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
My journey to become a doula began after my 4th baby's birth. I had my sister-in-law as my doula. She knew exactly what I was going through being a mother of 5 children herself. She helped me get through those contractions and I breathed out my sweet little one easily. It was the easiest birth I had. Then while talking with a friend about my experience giving birth with a doula she asked me to help her during her birth. I was her doula, and it was a wonderful experience comforting her and helping her long labor. I had considered becoming a doula but after this experience it solidified my desire to become a doula. I am now a certified doula with Childbirth International.
I love and advocate natural birth, but support women in whatever method they need to give birth to healthy babies. I am just so happy to be able to serve them, and see the little bebes born! What a wonderful job!!! How awesome!!!
