Resident Evil 4 Characters/Creatures

Hello,

I looked up some information on the creatures through the net, however most of my character information came from my SIGNATURE SERIES resident evil 4 official strategy guide proided below.

Leon S. Kennedy
Arriving in Raccoon City for his first day of work as a police officer, Leon Scott Kennedy found a community in chaos. Forced to flee from hordes of dead citizens brought back to life by an insidious virus manufactured by the Umbrella Corporation, Leon worked his way through the tunnels and sewers of the city to safety. He watched in overwhelming sadness as the government handled the outbreak situation in Raccoon City with an overwhelmingly final solution - nuclear annihilation. With the downfall and dissolution of Umbrella, Leon felt slightly relieved and convinced himself, like everyone else, that the horror could never happen again...

That was six years ago.

Determined to protect the people, Leon is now a government agent. Having worked his way up from agency to agency to the top ranks of national security, Leon has now completed the training necessary to join the secret security service of President Graham himself. There's just one hitch. The President's daughter has been kidnapped.

Leon's first assignment is to rescue and return the President's daughter. Searching the world for clues to the whereabouts of Ashley Graham and the group that kidnapped her, Leon eventually travels to a tiny European community. The local police scoff at his requests for assistance, but agree to drive him to the village regardless. Leon is now surprised to be recieving resistance from foreign agencies, but the resistance he will face in the village is nothing like he has ever experienced before... except for that time, six years ago, when death was all around and the amount of time you could survive was measured by the number of bullets left in your gun. Is there a possible link between the events of sic years ago and the violent actions of the villagers?

Ashley Graham
Ashley is the teenage daughter of the President of the United States. On the day she was abducted, Leon S. Kennedy was assigned to track down her abductors, rescue her from them, and return her to the States. Ashley is a sweet young girl with no knowledge of combat or self defence, and she's depending completely on Leon to protect her and guide her to safety. But what Ashley does not realize is that her captors have insidious plans for her that involve returning her to her father. What good could it possibly do the bad guys to kidnap her and then return her?

Luis Sera
While searching for the President's daughter in the village, Leon finds a document that indicates she is being held in an abandoned farmhouse. When he arrives at the location, he finds Luis Sera instead. Bound and gagged, Luis is a local citizen who seems to know a great deal more than he is willing to admit. Leon questions Luis' true part in the events playing out, and wonders what his connection is to 'Los Illuminados'.

Bitores Mendez
The village chief is an abnormally tall and menacing figure with multi-coloured eyes that leads the other villagers in their attacks on Leon. He is merely a priest, who teachs a very unusual religion to the Ganado, the inhabitants of the village.Unlike other villagers, Mendez seems intelligent and educated, and leaves several agendas and notes lying around. In their first meeting, Leon experiences the savage strength of the village chief firsthand. What is Mendez's agenda, and what is the secret of his false eye?

Jack Krauser
During his tours in various agencies, Leon has seen a lot of good operatives come and go, he has also seen some die. Leon thought Krauser died years ago in a helicopter accident, but unfortunately he is wrong. Krauser appears to be alive and well, and working for the wrong side in the current situation. Although Krauser is aiding 'Los Illuminados', he does not appear to be controlled by a parasite. Still, his abilities seem to be augmented to superhuman levels. Krauser's military training and combat prowress already made him more than a match for Leon, so it seems that the traitorous commando may prove more than the would-be rescuer can handle. Who is Krauser truly working for, and what is his role in the abduction for the First Daughter?

Ada Wong
Years ago there was a woman who died to save her man. The rookie officer named Leon Kennedy wanted to protect her, but failed. Her death has haunted him for years. Leon met Ada as she was searching Raccoon City for her boyfriend - a researcher named John. But Ada was looking for much more than that. She was a secret agent of an unknown company, a competitor of Umbrella's and she wanted to obtain a sample of William Birkin's G-Virus. In the end, she chose life over money, and gave her life to protect Leon's...

Or so she thought.

Ingrid Hunnigan
Ingrid is a long-time communications officer and field contact for undercover agents working for the federal government. During Leon's mission, she provides him with intelligence, advice and missino objectives as needed.

Osmund Saddler
The leader of the strange cult called 'Los Illuminados' is as much of an obscurity as the group he leads. Insidiously intelligent, he tricked castellan Ramon Salazar into releasing Las Plagas from centuries of captivity underground. As the plague swept through the nearby village, Saddler made the locals his slaves and forced them to build a massive facility on a remote island formerly used for research. Leon must penetrate the layers of Saddler's cult and organization in order to find out his megalomaniac's plans for Ashley Graham, and the world.

Merchant
He appears to be a Ganado but doesn't possess the instinctive intelligence of the others. Instead, he seems to want to make a living out of selling weapons to Leon rather than killing him. It is unknown where he gets his weapons from, but it is for sure that he is fully loaded. He is vulnerable however, and killing him will prevent his appearance in that specific area forever.

Ramon Salazar
Upon entering the massive castle east of the village, Leon and Ashley encounter the devious and insane castellan, Ramon Salazar. He acts with intelligence and cruelty of which only an adult is capable. his childlike appearance is obviously deceiving. Long ago his ancestors recognized the dangers of the horror called 'Las Plagas', and sealed away the parasitic monsters deep underground. Unfortunately, young Ramon fell under the spell of the leader of 'Los Illuminados', a secretive cult lead by Osmund Saddler convinced Salazar to atone for the "sin" his ancestors committed, and together they revived Las Plagas. Salazar believes the cult is under his control, but only because Saddler allows him to believe as much.

The Ganado
The Ganado are the 'zombies' that Leon is put up against, they attack with a multitude of weapons, such as Picks, Axes, Cleavers and also Pitchforks. They come in both female and male genders. Why do they act like zombies and possess no intelligence?

Chainsaw Wielding Ganado (In my opinion 'Chainsaw Massacre Guy')
Lead by Dr Salvadore, the richest man in the village, the Chainsaw Ganado all wear potato sack-like bags over their heads to protect their identity, and, as their name implies, they all wields chainsaws.

Colmillos
Colmillos have a thirst for human flesh and will do whatever they can to quench that thirst. Besides mauling, their other attacks include whipping Leon with the Plagas tendrils sprouting out of their back.

Los Plagas
After dark, the incubus inside the Ganado awakens, and starts to take over their host to their full potential. Whenever you shoot a Ganado in the leg, and their head explodes, you know that their inner Plagas has fully developed, and is about to show off it's skills.

Novistador
The Novistador all live in a central nest, and are flying bug like creatures. Their eyes glow an eerie green and in some cases red.. They have the unusual ability to turn invisible, and also are able to cling to the roof, to attack and surprise their victims. They are also equipped with an acid like substance, which they use as their primary form of attack.

Los Iluminados Monks(Zealots)
The zealots are all monks who follow the religion of the Los Illuminados. They all wear robes, which are coloured according to their standing in the hierachy of the religious cult. Black is the lowest form, and take the least effort to defeat, while Red is the medium in the hierachy, and normally wear a goats skull to hide their identity. Red Zealots are the leaders and normally bear important items such as keys and treasures. The final group is purples, which look similiar to Lord Saddler, and have a higher stamina than the others. Zealots come armed with crossbows, maces, scythes, and wooden shields emblazoned with the Los Illuminados' logo.

Armaduras
These ancient suits of armour have been inhibited by the Los Plagas an manipulated to kill people. Their thick armour is impossible to pierce with means of conventional weaponry, however, shooting them in the helmet will cause the inner Plagas to erupt from the helmet, thus exposing a weak spot. Amarduras come armed with Swords and Battle-axes, which do a hefty amount of damage. Armaduras whom wear black armour are just as difficult to kill, and sometimes even contain a different species of Plagas.

Commandos - Gatling Gun
Althought the commandos are also known as the ganado on the island, the real ones are those that are bigger than normal, and carry around powerful weaponry.

Garridors
(The name Garridor meens 'Being With Claws' or somethign like that)The garridors are convicts, captured and enslaved by Saddler. Their eyelids have been sewn shut, and their hands have been fused with long sharp and dangerous claws. To compensate for their loss of sight, the Plagas has enhanced their hearing ability, and as such, the Garridor rely purely on sound to find their target.

Snakes
Snakes are small and irrelevant enemies, which aren't poisonous and can only be found in crates and barrels. After destroying a crate or a barrel, it will attack Leon and cause minimal damage. However, snakes can be shot and they will drop Eggs, which can be used as weapons or as healing items.

Commandos - Axe
These Ganado wear steel plated armour, with only small amounts of skin being exposed. This exposed skin is their weak spot. These enemies wield a giant axe-like weapon.

Regenerators
Another result of the experiments conducted involving the Las Plagas, Regnerators, as their name implies, have the ability to regenerate all lost limbs at extremely fast rates. This is due to their metabolic rates being heightened by the Plagas.

Iron Maidens
Iron Maidens are basically Regenerators, with a deadly addition. Due to their unstability, their skin has started to scatter and create sharp spikes. These spikes spontaneously extend, damaging anything they manage to come into contact with. Their most damaging attack, causes the Maiden to extend their arms, grab an enemy, and pull them towards itself, impaling them on the spikes littered throughout it's body.

Del Lagos
Del Lagos is the result of a salamander-like creature being infected with Los Plagas. Although sealed a long time ago by Salazar's ancestors, Bitores Mendez resurrected it. It has expanded to a great size, and inhibits the giant lake which connects the village to the location of the key to the church. Inside it's mouth is where the parasite resides, and thus, it is it's weak point.

El Gigante
A giant hulking behemoth, and a result of diabolical experiments performed by Saddler involving the Los Plagas parasite. Being such a huge size, El Gigante has an immense amount of physical power. However, this is outweighed greatly by his slow speed and lack of intelligence.

Bitores Mendez
The true form of the Village Chief is revealed, and boy is he a toughie. This centipede like creature is not an excessively hard creature to defeat, but it can take a long time and also drain alot of your ammo. Don't think you've won though when he falls in half, because he'll merely detach his human legs and jump around the place using the rafters in the roof.

Verdugo
Remember those red-robed things that seem to follow Salazar around excessively? Well, this thing is what's under those red robes. Having both the abilities to get around on the roof, and move with great agility, the Verdugo is an extremely dangerous and hard to kill enemy without the correct 'equipment'. Liquid Nitrogen is the only way to weaken it's hard exoskeleton.

Dos Gigantes
Dos Gigantes is merely a better looking El Gigante, and is encountered in pairs.

Ramon Salazar + Verdugo
After fusing their bodies with the Plagas and becoming one, Salazar is much more dangerous than his crappy childish form. He encases himself in a organic tissue based chamber, while the Verdugo, whom has now transformed into an eye, with vicious teeth, defends him. Hammering the eye long enough WILL cause Salazar to come out of hiding, thus creating a viable target to cause great damage.

Jack Krauser (True Form)
After disposing of Krauser in a very tense and heated knife fight, you must face him after he has mutated. Although his arm was the only part of his body that mutated, it has both massive defensive and offensive power. The arm itself has alot of very sharp appendages attached to it, which do massive damage in the Thrust attacks that Krauser pulls off.

U3
The U3 is what looks like a combination of different insects designed for one thing, to kill. Boasting an inpenetrable shell, the U3 is extremely hard to defeat. It also somehow has the ability to burrow underground and pop out from below, sometimes causing to amage to anything standing on top of it.

Saddler
Lord Saddler finally reveals himself, with the purple robe he used to rare dangling lifelessly at the bottom of the hulking mass of monster that Saddler has become. It's legs are it's main forms of attacking, and can cause alot of damage.

Bella Sisters
The Bella Sisters are merely female versions of the Chainsaw Ganados. They both are blind, and have blood soaked bandages wrapped around their heads. They are a tad faster than the standard chainsaw Ganado and are encountered only once.

Double Chainsaw Ganado
Encountered only in the Waterworld level of "The Mercenaries", the Double Chainsaw Ganado is equipped with a chainsaw with two blades. The double chainsaw Ganado is extremely hard to defeat and runs around flailing his chainsaw similiar to how the Garridors wield their claws.

Well I hope you found the information interesting or helpful.
