Due to travel with work and vacations, I have called on Rita numerous times to care for my 2 cats. From giving lots of love and affection, to giving medications, to scooping litter and checking my mail, Rita does it all. I feel much more at ease knowing that my 2 girls are in her care. I know they are much less stressed by getting to stay in their familiar surroundings instead of boarding them. I get to come home to detailed notes pertaining to each of her visits and to very happy and stress free kitties!

Rita is capable, dedicated, and trustworthy. I am so happy to have found her!!

My wife and I are new to the Jacksonville area so when we had to leave town we did not know what to do with our pets. Tigger(Cat 6 yrs old), Andy(Yorkie 7 yrs old), and Buster(Boxer 11 weeks old), are truly "our" children so naturally we were concerned. Luckily, we received a postcard in the mail for "5 Star Pet and House Sitting Service," offering in-home pet sitting services. Initially we were a little apprehensive about having someone "new" come into our home and fearful about how our babies would respond. However, all that changed the minute Rita Dower knocked on our door for the initial meeting. Rita immediately erased our concerns! You could just see and feel her loving and caring nature towards the animals. She took very thorough notes and instructions so that everything would be just perfect. We were so happy with her services that we booked her for an overnight stay. It has been such a blessing to have Rita care for our pets! We will definitely continue to use Rita and we know that our pets will always be very happy to see her!

 

 

 

I started using 5 Star Pet & House Sitting Service when I began taking classes at
FCCJ again.  My little baby, Lola, was only 7 months then and I felt horrible for leaving her alone all day.  I contacted Rita Dower, and within a couple days, both Rita and one of her pet sitters,Toby, were at my house for an interview.  Lola took an instant liking to both of them, and it was no surprise that they would love her right back.  Rita and Toby have been absolutely wonderful since the day we met them and I feel so comfortable leaving Lola in their care.  I also love the fact that I have a progress report of her activities waiting for me when I get home, so there are no questions or concerns about what went on during the visit.  It is very reassuring to know that someone who loves pets as much as Rita and Toby do, are there to play and love on my baby when I am unable to do so.  I would recommend 5 Star to anyone, for they truly love what they do and are good at it.

It is my pleasure to recommend Rita Dower and her 5 Star Pet Sitting Service. Rita’s service offered the hard to find combination of skilled and affectionate animal care as well as reliable, trustworthy and efficient business practices.

While I was away, Rita kept me informed via email as to how things were going with the animals and my home. She was flexible, fitting my requested visitation schedule. And, she was observant and knowledgeable about the needs of the animals.

I left my two cats for an extended period of time. But, I returned to find Delilah and BOO quite healthy and content. She had obviously provided them with the human attention and socialization as well as the basic animal care that they needed.

She is really fabulous with my babies! I just recently started using Rita Dower, from 5 Star Pet Sitting, and her services are great!  I am very protective of my baby, Boots.  Every time I go out of town Rita makes herself available, even on shortnotices (which I do a lot).  When I return home, Boots is happy to see me, content and playful.  I love knowing that when I am away from home I don't have to worry about my dog because she is in good hands with Rita.  I expecially love the day to day notes of what she did with Boots...like play, walk and "belly rubs".  I would definitely recommend Rita Dower and 5 Star Pet Sitting Service to anyone.  She is an animal lover, very responsible, trustworthy, and very sweet.  Thanks for all you do for my girl, Boots!  We love you!!!!!

I would like to take the time to extend to you my fullest and highest recomendation of 5 Star Pet Sitting Service.  Rita Dower has provided this service to me and Charlie for a little over a year now.  I have found Rita to be both dependable and trustworthy.  As a single "Dad" with demanding work hours, I was concerned about the amount of time Charlie was spending alone each day.  Rita visits him about the same time each day during the week and I am quite sure that he looks forward to those visits.  Rita has also stayed over with Charlie when I had to be out of town and often helps with transportation to and from the groomers and vets.  Rita has always provided me with great communication and Charlie just loves her.  I love Charlie as if he was a child and must say I have total confidence entrusting Rita with his care.

I was searching for a solution to my need to get my dogs taken care of when I could not get home. I think I had dismissed the idea of having someone come into my home. However, after talking to Rita I felt a good feeling from her.

I have to say that since Rita has been watching my dogs, I have felt like it was a load lifted from me. She is extremely caring of my dogs and is very professional. Rita takes steps up front to make sure she is familiar with everything to do with my pets and keeps me informed with her daily notes as to what is happening while I'm away.
