Busch Gardens Africa - Tampa Bay, Flordia - At Busch Gardens Africa, the park's premier ride "SheiKra" will be getting new trains that are floorless! It turns out that the ride was built to accommodate floorless trains. The effect the trains will have to the ride will make the ride even more exciting especially for the riders in the front row that will give them the illusion of falling off a cliff. The last day SheiKra will operate with normal trains is May 28th and then it will be closed for three weeks getting ready to accommodate the new, floorless trains.
Carowinds - Charlotte, North Carolina - In 2005, Paramount's Carowinds removed the ride Frenzoid for the expansion of Boomerang Bay Waterpark. In 2007, Frenzoid is coming back as Southern Star. It will be relocated near Top Gun: The Jet Coaster which is one of the highest areas in the park. The ride is a similar to a Swinging Ship except loops riders upside - down 80 feet in the air.
The park will also be adding a new ice skating show and lower prices for adults from $49.95 to $44.95 and kids prices from $32.95 to $19.95. This will be the first time the park has dropped addmission prices since the park opened in 1973. This looks like it will be a great year for Carowinds and the whole Cedar Fair chain.

Hey, as some of you might know, I turn 13 in six days (February 9, 1994). I will be making some changes around the site in honor of my birthday including something I think you guys will like if it works. I will also be taking out the map thing because no one is really following the rules and it just isn't working out. Thanks and happy posting at RcKiNgDoM.
Also, give me some patience on some of the projects I have been working on because I got robbed so all of the projects for the Gamer's World area of the site are cancled and I'll post it their later in the weekend.

Six Flags Marine World/Discovery Kingdom - Vallejo, CA - Over the past few months, there have been many reports about the park being renamed to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. That is now official the name on the website has changed to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and it looks like they will be doing a lot to celebrate the event. First, they will be spliting up the park into three different sections (water, land, and thrills). The land and water sections will feature animals, exhibits, and shows based on the different animals from land and water. They will also be having new dolphin shows and orca whale shows. In the thrills section of the park, they will feature great coasters like Medusa, V2: Vertical Velocity, and Kong. They will also have many family rides and shows with your favorite charactors like Batman, Superman, and Bugs Bunny. In the main gate area, the park is getting a huge makover with a rethemed front area, parking lot trams, and there will even be people with small animals in the front letting guests feed them and ask questions about the animals and the park.
Also new for the 2007 season, the park will be hosting their first,"Holiday in the Park" which will extend the parks' season by almost two months. This year will probaly one of the best and most expansive years since Six Flags took over in 1996 and started adding rides to the park in 1998. For more information about the 2007 season, please go to the Six Flags website for more info.

Hello everyone and welcome to RcKiNgDoM, Your roller coaster kingdom.
Welcome to RcKiNgDoM which is your roller coaster kingdom and we (me and the rckingdom staff) are going to try and make that more of a reality by adding more features over the next few months. As you can see, the website is in a drought right now and I will do anything to get the site out of that drought even if it means totally remodeling the site. This update will be a presentation of what we will do with the website and the timeframe of what will be done. Here is a list of planned improvements for RcKiNgDoM:
- Add more Ride/Park Reviews. I have been trying to add more reviews and pics but I have been busy. Expect more later this month.
- Add more pics from my Magic Mountain trip and the pics from my Disneyland/DCA trip in May including Midway Mania construction.
- Give the staff and members more of a say on what happens here. This is a VERRY! (See the extra R) important thing for me so site moral can be boosted. I might also work on how I manage staffing because it seems like I have a lot of staff members for not the largest site but if more people come, then I might even need more staff so get the new members coming.
- And more!...
If you have any questions, concerns, or comments on the future of this website or how you can make a helping affect on it, please PM me on the forums, AIM me, or e-mail me at sfgam2006@aim.com. Note: My aim address is the same as my e-mail except don't include the @aim.com, Thanks!

- Alton Towers - - Alton/Staffordshire, England - - It is just in that 15 out of 19 Alton Tower's resturants got a low grades on their hygein and didn't pass UK standards. They might be closed for a long period of time if they do not clean up their act (and their resturants). Some of the resturants affected are McDonalds and KFC's that are located inside England's largest theme park. The earliest they could reopen are Spring 2007 which would be early in the operating season.
- Wild West World - - Park City, Kansas - - There are some specualtions that construction on the park is approxemently one month ahead of schedule. The park was supposed to have a soft opening between May 1st and the 5th and then have the grand opening on the 5th but that might change. The park will get a relocated Reverchon Spinning Wild Mouse from the Myrtle Beach Pavillion Grand Prix in South Carolina, along with a Fajume Wacky Worm, an OC Hopkins Log Flume, and Moser Sidewinder which looks a lot like a HUSS Frisbee from the picture on their website. The park will be one of the biggest in that part of the country and is planning to add a BIG! attraction which will probaly be a roller coaster in 2009. The park's grand opening will be on May 5th, 2007 if everything stays right on schedule.
That is all for now and I am just going to copy BlackMamba11's quote he made a few weeks ago and end off with this,
You stay classy planet earth and please enjoy RcKiNgDoM and the end of your winter break if you are in the same situation as me and go back to school on the 8th. Be safe, have fun, and happy riding coaster nuts! (Even though most theme parks aren't opened until March.
Thanks,
Your Admin, sfgam2006 |

Busch Gardens Europe - Williamsburg, VA - The tallest and fastest Dive Machine's lift hill is completed! Standing at 205 feet tall crowned with a lovely Christmas tree. Griffon will feature 2 inversions and and 2, that's right 2 vertical drops!
Knott's Berry Farm - Buena Vista, CA - A new "twist" is coming to Knotts Berry Farm standing at 39 feet tall Sierra Sidewinder will have two four car trains making it unique from many other spinning roller coasters.
Picture
Six Flags Over Texas - Arlington, TX - Several reports are in that Mr. Freeze's track is being painted red. For what reason nobody knows, it seems to be an odd mystery. Mr. Freeze didn't operate much durning the 2006 season because of what happened to The Chiller at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.
Six Flags New Orleans - New Orleans, LA - Batman The Ride is making it's third move to a small park in Korea. It is currently being taken apart, this will be a sad loss for many coaster enthusiasts in Louisiana as it is moved across the world again. It is still unknown if the park will reopen for the 2007 but atleast they are starting to do something to it, even though it's going down.
Six Flags Magic Mountain - Valencia, CA - Just a few days ago it was reported that Six Flags would be sold, the company that has bought the park is currently unknown but Six Flags has stated that it will remain an amusement park. There has also been rumors on Freefall being sold.
Paramount's Kings Island - Kings Mills, OH - It has been confirmed that Son Of Beast's loop will be removed for the 2007 season. It will be removed so that lighter trains can be installed reducing the stress on the track and ultimately making the ride smoother. This will be a burden to the coaster community as this was the best part of the ride for many people.
That's all for tonight, stay classy planet Earth.

Wraping Up On The Season... By Zach Wik

Wraping Up The Season
By Zach Wik
Well, it is a very sad time of the year for us coaster freaks as most of the parks around the country are closing their gates for the 2006 season. For me, this has been the best season of my short life and I have enjoyed it. This artical will be a recap for the whole season from late last year when we heard about rides like Goliath, Tatsu, and Patriot until the last days of October during Fright Fest and Halloweekends. Well here is my shot at my first coaster editorial and I hope you guys enjoy it.
During the end of the season last year. We were all talking about the new rides coming to the parks for the 2006 season on sites like Coaster-Net and Thrillnetwork. We were imagining how it would feel like to ride Patriot, Tatsu, and all the other rides that were going to open soon. Six Flags also got a new General Manager that everyone was talking about. He said that they were going to cut down on large thrill rides so they could save money and get out of debt. They added 2 B&M Mega Coasters . One at Six Flags Over Georgia near Atlanta and La Ronde near Montreal.
As we raced into the new year of 2006, we saw how construction was progressing on some of our projects and some where even predicting what would some of the layouts look like especially for Goliath @ Six Flags Over Georgia. Finally, some of the parks opened in early March and the season was underway. For a short amount of time, many people were talking how good or bad the new coaster were and then by about June, everyone started talking about what will happen for the 2007 season which was still 10 months away.
One say in early June, my site opened and started out with four members (me, Questjump, and 2 members that are now defunct) we started talking about roller coasters on our plain white board with a small freewebs site. It is still here but now we have 8 different sections and 27 members on the forums with over 2,000 posts.
As people started to get ready for the end of the season, people talked about the red track at Cedar Point, the markings at Vallyfair!, and the blocked off walls at Disneyland where the new submarine ride is going to be. Well that time came very quickly and soon the track turned into a intamin launch coaster with 3 inversions and a 105 foot tall GCI roller coaster which is probaly this best woodie west of the Mississippi River.
I know many people are excited about next season and are probaly all ready thinking about what parks they are going to next season. One thing I know is, it will be a good one.
Thanks for reading and if you have any comments or suggestions, please e-mail me at sfgam2006@aim.com or post something in my suggestions area. Thank you and happy riding!!! |
