Please read below for the benefits of adopting a rabbit from a rescue centre.
Rescue centres that specialise in rabbits are a very good place to go
for a
bun. For one thing, most rescues ensure that all of their buns are
neutred
and have up to date injections, and although on the face of it adopting
from
a rescue centre is more expensive than buying from a pet shop, if you
were
to add up how much it costs for the neutering and injections, you would
see
that it is actually cheaper.
Another advantage for the first time rabbit keeper is that rescues can
give
lots of help and advice. They will often do a home check just to make
sure
that you have a suitable set up, and if you want a bonded pair of
rabbits to
keep each other company when you are not there, then a rescue will be
able
to help with that too, as they often have bonded pairs looking for
homes.
