What is your bunny trying to tell you?

Head laying close to the floor, relaxed body  -  Bunny is enjoying having his head stroked or is wanting you to stroke his head.

Growling  -  Yes rabbits growl, this is a sign of displeasure, sometimes the rabbit might charge to try and scratch.

Binkie (jumping and flouncing in the air) - Bunny is happy and loving life! He showing his joy by bounding and flicking his feet and legs in the air.

Running in circles round your legs or another rabbit -  A sign of love! He loves you or the rabbit he's circling!

Laying flat on the floor - Tense body, ears flat against the back of the neck. very low posture, this means bunny is scared, he may have spotted something that he thinks is a threat like a cat, dog or human he doesn't recognise. This is a natural pose that wild rabbits do to avoid predators.

Squealing - Fright!! Your bunny has been frightened perhaps been startled by you moving to quickly, or he may be in pain.

Thumping - A bunny will thump a hind leg on the floor to alert to danger, perhaps he has seen a dog or cat.

Charging  -  Some bunnies can become territorial of their hutch or food bowl, they might charge at you to try and scratch or bite.

Teeth Grinding - quiet tooth grinding can also be called purring, you bunny is happy and showing it, loud tooth grinding can indicate a problem in the bunnies mouth.
