Awww, isnt she just lovely? You would take her home straight away if you could?
STOP!!!
Think very carefully before buying a new pet rabbit, here's why:
Rabbits need a huge amount of care and they are not the cheapest pets either. This little bundle of fluff could set you back over £500 a year in feed, bedding, vaccinations, toys etc. That may not sound a lot but if you consider that this little bunny could live until its 10 and you'll have to part with over £5000 in its lifetime, it worth serious thought. This does not include any vet fees either.
Is she still cute enough to take home??
If she is and your willing to part with that sort of money then next you have to think about the amount of time you have to have to be able to properly take care of your rabbit. A rabbit needs a MINIMUM of hour every day of exercise, this could be in a run, a bunny proof garden or in your house providing its safe. You need to be able to tend to your rabbit daily without fail. Change its water, feed it, provide hay and remove soiled bedding. Plus proper clean outs, disinfecting and bowl and bottle cleaning. It is simply not good enough to get a bunny and leave it in a hutch day in day out.
Still want a bun and know you can provide a good and loving home for it?
