The Basics

Reich Parkeep is, in some respects, a divided city. Before the Imperials settled the city, it was exclusively Redoran both in citizenry and architecture. The Imperial district soon outgrew the twin hills, and as more imperial citizens moved to the city, they built their homes on the hill leading down to the Redoran District.

The most striking feature of Reich Parkeep must be the Imperial Citadel which, unlike most fortifications, is located in the middle of town. If you want to go there, you should follow the path between the booksore (28) and the Guild of Traders (31). That path will lead into the Imperial District, from which an aqueduct connects to the north hill, on which the citadel is built. A nimble adventurer might make it onto the bridge connecting the citadels by running up the steep hillside and jumping over the railing... but that tends to make the guards nervous, so you best avoid it.

Places to see

If you're aching for something to drink, and you don't consider dunmer to be good company, head on over to The Golden Gryffin (22)for that rustic, imperial atmosphere. If you're dunmer yourself, or just enjoy their company, you are sure to find welcome over at the Sleepy Guar Inn (16).

Got a broken sword, or a lust for a new one? Our Master Smith, Taran Selaro (6), will certainly be at your service. His workshop is located near the Temple. Need to look something up? The city's bookseller, Cyra Catella (28) might have the tome you need. On the other hand if you're in the market for an enchanted ring or a magic scroll, Vanikien Oram (26) could have it in his shoppe. If you need something special, Ahiram Belah (30) is the man to see.

Factions in Reich Parkeep

The dominant factions in the city are the Imperial Legion (21) and House Redoran (10). The Tribunal Temple (1) provides service to worshippers of Vivec, Almalexia and Sotha Sil. Also represented are the Guild of Fighters (23) and Guild of Traders (31).

People to meet

Local affairs of our city are decided by Remo, Imperial Baron of Reich Parkeep (20). While his power over the city is unquestionable, Baron Remo is sensitive to Redoran traditions and feelings. When it comes to issues affecting the dunmer, he always has an ear open for advice from Areya, Redoran Master Lord of Reich Parkeep (10).

Flavius Nuntius (21) is the commander of the Imperial Legion in Reich Parkeep, and might have a job for you if you're inclined to work in the Legion. Flavius has an uneasy truce (of sorts) with Erabu Sakatosh (9), head of the Redoran guard in the city. People still talk about The Battle under the Bridge last year, when Erabu - after having emptied the Sleepy Guar's stock of Graija - decided to teach "that impudent swit" a lesson. He took a swaying stand under the bridge and yelled up at the Keep, daring Flavius to come down from his hiding place (as he put it). According to the local tales, Flavius wandered onto the bridge and, overlooking Erabu, emptied a cauldron of vegetable soup on him. The Imperials laughed at Erabu's embarrasment, and the Redoran guards ridiculed Flavius for not coming down and fight, and in the end it turned out to be an episode neither of them wants to hear about again. People say if you listen closely enough, you can still hear them grumble about their unfinished business.
