May 25th 2002 Ray(Ateremu Hiini)Morgan suffered a "massive" stroke,he lost the use of the left side of his body. As well as his image of himself was damaged so that he was no longer aware that there was a left side to his body ;indeed a left side to the world about him.
Ray born from a proud Maori race of New Zealand solid and fearless,now he feels his world has changed to being fearful,dependant and sad.
Through his determination he already had some insight into problems that patients must face after having a stroke and this combined with his clear recall has provided vivid documentation of his sense of bewilderment and frustration
