About Us
Welcome to Ravenwood English Setters. My interest in dogs began in childhood, and before I was twenty, I was breeding and showing dogs. My main breeds were Great Danes and American Staffordshire Terriers. One of my Danes and I made it to Westminster where we won a Group Three together. That was a long time ago. I got out of "dogs" for a while, but was never without a companion dog. Many years later I was once again bit by the "bug" and looked at some of the Sporting breeds, when I fell instantly in love with the English Setter. In 2006 Emily Fuzette came on the scene as an assistant and friend. Emily of Libertie Brittanys assists with whelping, grooming and showing when she can and is a co-owner of some of the dogs. She has been showing Brittanys for over ten years and the two of us hit it off with our similar ideas and ethics. The rest as they say, is history. Please feel free to browse my pages. River's daughters are getting ready to start their show careers in earnest! Maddie already has two points and Rain says now it's her turn to give it a whirl. Look for her in bred-by with Emily at a show near you late this Fall and early next year!

Introducing Ravenwood Feathers Firewater JH! Delilah completed her Junior Hunter on 1/18/09!
We received some great pictures of Sadie (Ice x Raven) in training for agility!
12/13 & 12/14 Ravenwood Feathers Firewater, a River x Fire daughter earned her first two JH legs with 9's and 10's! Way to go!
12/13/08 Brag for our friend Christie Rentz of BlueRose ES; her BlueRose Mr. Bingley went Reserve to a major at his first show--the Ohio ES club specialty today in Cleveland Ohio! Mr. Bingley is a grandson of both Ice and Raven. CONGRATS to breeder/owner Christie Rentz!
