Key to a Rats Heart Rescue

Welcome to Key to a Rats Heart Rescue, where rescuing as many rats as possible is our top priority. We are an at home rescue for surrendered rats, rats who have ended up in high kill shelters and fancy rats who need help. Find the key to a rats heart by adopting your little companion as a rescue! Or help many rats by fostering for Key to a Rats Heart Rescue, socialize them and give them a bigger chance of being adopted. Possibly donate to help new rats who need it. We get many inquiries to take in rats and sometimes offer to take rats who need it from owners who need it.

We take in as many rats as we can whenever we can. Without our fosters, donaters and adopters we just wouldn't be able to help the rats we can now! Thank you!

We take in ALL types of rats in need. All colors, types, ages and markings. We get rexes, dumbos, double rexes, hairless, etc. rats in. If you are looking for a specific type of rat [sex/personality/type] let us know and we will see how we can help you with that.

We are not a kennel, a pound, or a shelter. We are an at home rescue that loves rats and help rats in need by providing the proper care for them and lots of TLC.

Quite often we have rescues who need fosters or homes. To continue rescuing, we need fosters lined up. Please fill out an application to be a foster & help us save more rats. We really appreciate it!
