Photos of two of my Mexican Mommas
This
is Hilda and her first two children. This mother lives in a very poor
area of Tijuana (even by Tijuana standards). She had her first in the
hospital, second at home and I attended the delivery of her third in
her home along with California midwife Jerry Whiting. 
Beautiful healthy baby girl!
This
is Mariela and myself. She is pregnant here with her first baby. This
mother handled her labor with amazing strength and beauty. You
will see in the pictures the baby was born with the cord around her
neck but it's no big deal. Many cesarean, forcep, and episotomy
deliveries are performed for this generally unharmful and common
condition.
There's that cord!
