HISTORY:

Founder/Executive Director: DeVondia R. Roseborough learned of her positive HIV diagnoses in 2003 and later was told she had AIDS!

Because of her love for young people and service in the Charlotte area catering to young adults and their parents; socially, mentally, spiritually and physically she knew the time for His purpose in 2005 to incorporate the Rasberrirose Inc. was evidence of her dreams coming true. DeVondia opted to not let the disease that the doctors stated during her hospitalization to her mother, "There is nothing else we can do for her" take her out without a fight. Now healed, delivered and set free of the obstacles of HIV/AIDS her mission is to positively impact the mind, body and souls for young ladies 10-18 struggling from self-esteem with a focus on HIV/AIDS prevention.

New Year Note From the Founder:

Greetings and salutations to each and everyone. Boy has time flew by. We are currently in mid-April but yet instill we are still seeing HIV/AIDS rates continue to increase. Did you know that Mecklenburg County has the highest number of HIV/AIDS rates in North Carolina? Scary huh? We need to do more in educating and repetitive awareness in our community and especially with our youth. I have a new outlook on the ministry I am blessed to have and that is to not wait on World AIDS Day to make a difference. To wait on National Testing Day to make an appearance, but to make everyday a day of Awareness and Prevention for people everywhere. Walking the streets, workshops in high rate areas and training to enhance my knowledge for the community to be informed. Please take the time to know the facts, tell the facts and don't forget to know your STATUS! The life you save can be your own.
