And although I love you
-you know I do-
I also love snowmen and
the letter 'S' and
31 flavors.
So while you sit, chin in hand
using a pick to chip at
America and God and
eroding away the theory of apple pie
I will be turning cartwheels in long dresses
and pulling petals off of wildflowers,
eaten by the surf with your barbed opinions
and when you triumphantly look up
having mathematically figured out that the world
isn't good
you'll be shocked to find that I have
danced away, because
sometimes the wind just won't wait.
