The internals of the swooftronic 2000
The heart of this device is the Picaxe 28x. The Picaxe takes four digital inputs from the keypad, 1 serial output to the display board and one sound output. The display is 4 lines by 20 rows and is driven by a serial to parallel display board.
The unit was originally used as a tool to shape the sounds for other Picaxe projects, as it allows you to manually control all the elements of the sound output. It turns out that the swoof sets up really good sounding loops and I've been using it in lots of musical recordings.

Packs away into a handy case.
