Ranleigh Miniature pony stud was founded in 1999 by myself, Leanne Prosser and Les Prosser in Toongabbie Victoria. Our aim is to breed true Australian Miniature Ponies that have fantastic temperments , true pony confirmation and beauty. When we started out we intended on breeding Taffies of all shades. The first Taffies we purchased were from Quintana stud in Garfield, Quintana Tobin and Quintana Kabuki. Tobin is a Chestnut Taffy and Kabuki is a silver Dapple Taffy. Later we purchased their dam Quintana Acorn who went on to give us many Taffies until she died of Pnuemonia in June 2008. Tobin did extremly well in the show ring as a Gelding winning many Supremes and Champions. Because of his beauty and sucess we joined Acorn again to Harwick Merrylegs and bred a beautiful chestnut taffy filly Ranleigh Encore, who followed on in her brothers hoof prints.

We have purchased Stallions from the Shanusti and St Helena lines and bred some lovely ponys that have started doing well in the show ring. Our most recent aquisition was Pentland Blue Glengarry , a beautiful Blue Roan registerd with AMPS and APSB, This year will be his first season with us so here's hoping.

Apart from showing and breeding my other passsion is Harness. I broke Tobin in to harness and he worked well but preferred not to do it in the show ring. I then broke Ranleigh O'Reilly to harness and he has proven to be an absolute pleasure to drive both in the ring and out. He has out done himself in all areas of harness driving and has taken me to many a champion driver. Thankyou Reilly!. My next project is to put Blue the roan stallion into harness. This may prove to be a challenge , but I like a challenge!
