- Installing Brushes -

For this tutorial, you will need PSP 8+. When downloading brush sets from other sites, (by the way, be cautious when downloading files from unfamiliar sites) make sure the brush sets are intended to use in PSP; the brushe files will end in .jbr & .PspBrush. Other formats will NOT work.

First, download the brush set you like =D Save it somewhere on your computer, where you know you'll be able to find it. Copy and paste it into your Paint Shop Brushes folder. (Program Files > Jasc Software Inc > Paint Shop Pro 8 > Brushes)

Next, open up PSP. Go to File, Import, and then Custom Brush.

You should now see a popup similar to the one in the screencap. At the top, you should see Open next to Edit Paths. Click on Open.

Find the brushes you just moved to the Brushes folder in step one, and select Open.

You should now see your brushes in that box as shown in the screencap. Next to it, click on Select All. The brushes should now be in the box to the right. Afterwards, select OK at the bottom.

When you use your paint brush tool, you should now be able to use your new brushes! Congratulations =D
