Marching band, aka military.Need I say more? But for some reason, people still go into it. (Probably because of the camp!) Here's some interesting stuff about it that every marching band member should know!

1.) They don't like to sleep.

2.)You gain many sisters and brothers.`

3.)You get to see your conductor at his worst.

4.)Your parents made/bribed you.

5.)You have no life.

6.)Your dream in life is to go in the military.

7.)You are a true bando.

8.)Couldn't find anything better to do with your time.

9.)All of your friends are in it.

10.)You have some weird obsession with hard work.

11.)Marching is one of your odd hobbies.

12.)It is required at your school if you are in band.

13.)Your crush is in it.

14.)You escaped from mental hospital and joined the marching band so that you could hide in the uniforms.

15.)You were sleepwalking when you signed up.

1.)They actually have a life.

2.)Homework.

3.)Detention.

4.)They are playing a fall sport.

5.)They're addicted to sleep.

6.)Don't have the time.

7.)Are VERY uncordinated.

8.)Don't like the idea of being around school AFTER school.

9.)Heard horror stories from older siblings.

10.)Can't take the heat.

11.)They like a little thing called "summer break".

12.)They are just lazy.

13.)They play no instruments.

14.)The uniform.

15.)They actually have a life outside of band.

Now, I am betting that you have all heard the joke "This one time at band camp...". That is soooo not true; it is not one time, it is many. (lol) No, I'm being serious, anybody reading this who has ever gone to band camp can back me up. I'm not so sure about the other bands, but Bedford's camp is definitely an interesting experience. From rain dances, to fluffy thrusts, to coconut bras and grass skirts, to hazing the freshman most everybody who has a social life will come back from it smiling. Now, what they are smiling from can either be from a good time, coming back home, or they had such a bad time that they have gone insane (Andy).

I am in the mood to make a list, so I think that i shall list everything even mildly funny that has happened at this years band camp. (Oh yeah, for you people that are NOT in Bedford's band, I will try to explain them.)

1.)Coconut bras and grass skirts (That was a very interesting time. These two guys who of which shall remain anymonous showed up at the hawaiian/fiesta night in them. What's even funnier was that one of them ended up as my bf- is that saying something?)

2.)Mashed potatoes out the nose! (OK, this one will probably be only funny to the Bedford people that sat at my table, but we got into this obsession about making  person X laugh so hard that potatoes would come out of their nose.)

3.)Fluffy thrusts and rain dance on the balcony. (We were all very hyper after freshman initiation-well, every body except for me- so some of the people in my cabin went outside and had a very weird time as you can hopefully tell.)
