Sisters Helping Sisters

Sisters Helping Sisters

Everywhere you go it seems you will meet a woman that has been sexually violated in one-way or another. This group is for women who have carried the weight of this trauma. It is made up of women who know what it means to be sexually molested, raped or abused in some fashion. But most importantly, the women in this group have found God to be the Great Physician and have experienced His grace and mercy. They have found that God has been the healing factor, and they have joined together to guide you to Him through prayer and support. We believe in Jesus Christ to be the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

We do not promise solutions to immediate problems, but we do promise confidentiality, a nonjudgmental atmosphere and support through prayer and the scriptures. So, perhaps you have experienced abuse in one way or another and have found God to be your total Peace and you want to reach out to other women, this group may be for you. Or maybe you are a woman looking for support and help through prayer from other women who knows exactly where you are, then this just may be the group for you. Regardless of what you are called, mother, sister, aunt, niece we believe that we are daughters in the Lord and now ready to embrace you, as Sisters Helping Sisters

2 Corinthians 1:4 (Amplified Bible)
Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God.

When You Love An Addict

It is no strange thing, in todays world, to meet someone who has a child that is an addict.  Chemical and substance abuse is on the rise.  I believe in my heart, that we are living in the last days and the enemy is on a rampage to destroy every one he possibly can.  It seems that addiction has crossed the boundaries, and now resides within Christian homes.

So what is a parent to do when their child is in bondage?  I have found, as I walk this path of addiction with my daughter, that I can no longer walk it upright, but must proceed with the journey on my knees.  God has placed some incredible people in my life, that on a daily basis lift my family up in prayer.  There are moments when I know they are praying, and usually it is in the moments when the war is at it's hottest.

I understand the scripture tells us we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12).  What I see on the surface is my daughter, what I understand in the spirit realm is she is a child of God and the enemy is using everything He can to destroy her.

So what do we do?  We arm ourselves with the Word (Ephesians. 6:17).  We cloth ourselves in the protective armour (Ephesians. 13-17).  We stand and stand some more!  We build a united front, PRAYING ALWAYS (Ephesians. 6:18), and we storm the gates of hell!  If you read through the text, God did not equip us with any protection for our back.  He did not intend for us to tuck tail and run!  We must find it deep within ourselves, through much prayer and study of the Word, to stand as Joshua and Caleb and declare LET US GO UP AT ONCE AND POSSESS IT; FOR WE ARE WELL ABLE TO OVERCOME IT.

If you love someone that is addicted, first I want to say to you that you are not alone.  Second I would like to know who you are so I can lift you up in prayer as well as your loved one.  Let's get your names added to the prayer list so that everyone can be praying!  As we go forward, more things will be available through this site for support.  Until the Lord opens each door, we have been called to PRAY!!
