I BELIEVE the Bible, including both the Old and New Testament, is the Holy Spirit-inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
I BELIEVE there is one perfect and almighty God, eternally existing in three persons who are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I BELIEVE that Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God and He was born of a virgin to become our Savior and Messiah.
I BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross, rose again on the third day and will return for the bride of Christ in the rapture of the church.
I BELIEVE that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). I believe that salvation can not be found in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
I BELIEVE that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
I BELIEVE that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:12). I believe that salvation, the forgiveness of sins, and the promise of eternal life is available to all of us who put our faith in Jesus, the Savior.
I BELIEVE that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
I BELIEVE that we are to bear with one another in love and endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3). In other words, cultural, racial, political, denominational, generational, or geographical differences should not in any way limit our love for one another as brothers and sister in Christ or keep us from the unity in which God wants us to live.
I BELIEVE that the things, which are impossible with men, are possible with God (Luke 18:27).
I BELIEVE that we should be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let our requests be made known to God. And when we do the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
I BELIEVE that God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24). And if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears Him (John 9:31).
I BELIEVE that all believers are commissioned by God to bring the good news that everyone can be reconciled to God through Jesus, God’s Son (2 Corinthians 5:18-21). And we are to teach others to observe all things that God has commanded (Matthew 28:18-20). I believe the Holy Spirit enables us to spread this good news and He, the Spirit of truth, will guide us in all truth and help us to live in a way that is consistent with God’s will. (John 16:7-15,Acts 1:8).
There was a time in my life when I had many of questions as to why I had to go through so many things. But through the years, I have come to know Jesus in a very personal way. My walk with Christ is not an extension of my parents or a denomination, but rather a personal relationship that has enabled me to know PEACE!
In all of my searching, I have come to recognize that He truly is my All in All! Through all of the painful events of my life, He is my Healer! Through all the sadness He is my Joy! He is to me everything I searched for! My Rock, my Refuge, My Very Present Help in trouble.
As I stand on the Word of God, and proclaim it to be my map for each step and each moment of my life, I have one scripture that is my motto for my ministry: Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. II Corinthians 1:4
So, if we were to call it a mission, it would be very simple. It is my intent to show the love of Jesus! Not to change you or your life, but rather to walk with you to the cross. To cover you in prayer, and to extend the arm of understanding, so that you will come to know Jesus in His fullness.
I am a 38-year-old single mother of two beautiful daughters and an adorable grandson. My younger brother Chris and I grew up as Pentecostal preacher’s kids. This was the foundation on which my parents raised us. We cut our teeth on the church pew, and today carry on the ministry, which called God us too many years ago. I am blessed to have my brother working with me in the ministry. He is a man of God, and devoted to service!
I have been through sexual abuse, rape, physical abuse, breast-cancer, gang activity, teen-age pregnancy, a child addicted to drugs, AIDS, and the death of both of my parents. Sound like a TV thriller? This is a synopsis of my life. My story is not much different from so many women. And truthfully, although my story is painful, there are many women who have suffered far worse. I do not intend to diminish anything others have gone through, but rather I long to unveil myself so that someone will see that healing is possible and attainable. Passion can be restored!
The passion that God intended for us, that may have been stolen by an uncaring person, or possibly sold by our own doings, can be restored! Jesus paid the price on Calvary for you and I. The hurts are never too deep that the Balm of Gilead cannot reach. The stripes that Jesus took on His back were for you! And for me! Whatever the wound is called, regardless of how long it has clouded your very existence, the stripes were intended for our healing!
The enemy has worked overtime to attempt to distract and destroy my family and I. Due to many of my daughter’s choices, my family has been subjected to gang activity and substance abuse. We have felt the sting of violence and understand the pain that comes with addiction. Nevertheless, I stand firm and committed! Although I have wondered for many years as to why I had to go through the fires, I have found comfort in the Word: Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God. II Corinthians 1:4 Amplified
So as you read this, keep in mind that God knows exactly where you are. He has not forsaken us, nor has He left us. His arm is not too short! You may feel all alone, but you are not! Many have gone through the same thing you have endured and many are still going through. But, fix your heart on the cross and the work that Jesus did! Healing is for you! Deliverance is for you! Freedom from bondage is for you! God wants to restore passion within you!
