Game Briefing for AA

Starting June 3rd 2001 ending Jan 4th 2003

Game # 1 Those That Remain Part I of II  6/3/2001
"This game ended up less like a game and more like a mini-convention" Pics
Location: Todd Worrell in SW Portland Oregon
GMs: Simone Cooper, Dan Christensen, Todd Worrell, Kevin Clark, Sarah, James, Kevin Seeber
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, Dennis, John, Thaddeus, Vrin, Cindy
A raining Sunday in Portland. (Who would have thought) The best moment of the day for me was about three in the afternoon when I realized it was all working. WHEW!  The Fellow GMs worked really well and they were the ones that made the day work. GMs room was in the Garage on the Main floor and it was a mess because a room mate was moving. It ended up to be perfect. Something we did not think would be important was the note board we left up for the Fellow GMs and GMs to mark. This was perfect. We were able to leave notes for one another without running around.

Game # 1 B Those That Remain Part II of II 6/17/2001
"Why won't you take my trump calls!" Pics

Location: Simone & Guys in N. Portland

GMs: Simone Cooper, Dan Christensen, Todd Worrell, Kevin Clark, Kevin Seeber, Irene
Players: Jeff, Ameer, Guy, Dennis, John, Thaddeus, Vrin, Cindy  MIA: Eric
No rain for part B it was a nice summer day. Outside on the drive way ended up to be the important zone. The GMs room was a back bedroom not down stairs as Todd had thought. With as much as we are going in and out of the room we would have passed out going up and down stairs. The GM bulletin board was again a valuable tool. With So many people in the house it was crazy stuff going on in every room, Devine Chaos. Thanks for hosting Simone and Guy.

Game #2 The Powers That Be 07/29/2001
   "It cost how much?" Pics
Location: Eric, Jeff and Kevin Seebers Apt Complex
GMs: Simone Cooper, Dan Christensen, Todd Worrell, Sarah, Kevin Seeber, Irene
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, Dennis, John, Thaddeus, Vrin, Cindy
Ok what is the deal with the overcast weather? you tell me but over cast and rainy seems like a standard? Can a role-playing game change the weathers. Call it strange but here we are on the 29th of July and it was a nippy day of sprinkles and misty rains. Had two apartments for rotating on going events and a third for the Royal council and the Bank of Amber/Gm room. I had no idea how the location would work for the event but I have to tell you that it fit like a glove. If I would have designed a spot for the game it would not have been as good as what we had.

Game #3 Acceleration 8/25/2001
"Hey what happened to your leg?" Pics
Locations: Simone and Guys, Kevin Seebers, Fort Williamson everyone came together at Fort Williamson for the Coronation
GMs: Simone Cooper, Dan Christensen, Todd Worrell, Kevin, Kevin Clark
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, J Williamson, J. White, Thaddeus, Vrin, Cindy and Irene
Well it caught the players off guard and I have to admit that I rather liked the results. We had four games in three different locations and it caught the players buy surprise. This was the first game that I really got a good chance to run as a GM and it made me happy. We gave the players a lot of information and let them make their own path.

Game #4 The Price of Peace 10/7/2001
"This is the ugly side of polotics... The Amber side"
Location: Kevin Clarks very  Apartment NW Portland
GMs: Simone Cooper, Dan Christensen, Todd Worrell, Sarah & James, Kevin Seeber, Kevin Clark, Amber Cook,
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, John, John, Vrin, Cindy and Irene MIA The Thad man ok his wife was having his child the least he could have done was name it after one of the GMs
It was raining (Ok it's Oregon)  and when it was realized that there would be 18 of us in this apartment it seemed that it would be too small. Then once we started it all seemed to work out.  There is something about a game where everyone can see that everyone else is in motion that keeps them all in motion.  Thaddeus could not make it something to do about a wife having a baby or something. I guess we could give him a one game pass.

Game #5 Awaken the Giants 01/26/02
"This is the information dump episode"
  Location: Sara and James
GMs: Simone Cooper, Dan Christensen, Todd Worrell, Sarah & James, Kevin Seeber, Kevin Clark, Amber Cook
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, J. Williamson, Vrin, Cindy and Irene, Thaddeus MIA John White
Despite illness, snows and a long delay this game went off perfectly. Missing was John White the Pontiff. 9 Players total and 8 GMs total, you have to like that ration. I have to say that the GM to player ratio was almost as good as the snack to player ration, man the food table was full. Sara and James had the perfect venue for the game we faced. The game is turning the corner on the half way mark and all the players are up to speed. How cool is that. Thanks you all

Game #6 Lucky number 6 3/3/2001
   "Weddings always depress me"
  Location: Simone and Guys
GMS: Simone , Dan, Todd , Sarah & James, Kevin Seeber, Kevin Clark, Amber, Habeeb and Carrie
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, J. Williamson, Vrin, Cindy, Thaddeus, John White MIA Irene
I had went up to the tri-cities and ran the thread for episode 6 for Irene. It was very effective and I can say that I could not have worked that into the game. So even though Irene was MIA was not at the game she had already played this episode out. This game was held at Simon and Guys and the weather was awesome. Last session over a month ago had snow this episode had sun and we played much of it outside. There was a ton of food and the many of the players dressed up for the royal wedding. Wait many of the GMs dressed up for the wedding as well. The Game was like a wedding on earth. Lots of family you never knew you had. Lots of gossip and a few tears.

Game #7 The Ways Unknown 7/9/2002
   "You did what!"
Location: New and improved Fort Williamson
GMS: Simone, Dan, Todd , Sarah, Kevin Seeber, Kevin Clark, Amber, Habeeb MIA GMs: Carrie, James
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, J. Williamson, Vrin, Irene, Thaddeus, John White MIA Cindy
Well this game did not feel as good as the others. It was a difficult game to coordinate because people had things to do that no matter how hard you tried could not fit together. There was also the fact that it was warm and that many players finished at different times. Also there were some distractions at the end and we had to push a bit. Oh well not every game can be a home run. It was still far from a flop.

Game #8

Secrets untold

8/25/2002
  "Who would have thought it?"
Location: Dan's back yard of love
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, John Whte, Vrin, Irene, Thaddeus, Cindy
Well this game was a difficult game to GM in that the GMs really had nothing to do. We sat around and were waiters and servants ad the players debated who would sit on the throne. A throne war without a war and where everyone was highly motivated to see the Amber was served well. Who won? well ... believe it ....it was Phaedra. No one not even Cindy playing Phaedra would have guessed this.

Game #9 The Hammer of fate 9/29/2002
"So much to do so little time"
  Location: Eric, Jeffs and Seebers
Players: Eric, Jeff, Ameer, Guy, John Whte, Vrin, Irene, Thaddeus, Cindy
Ok

Game #12 Of What Things Tomorrows Are Made  Jan 3th 2003

  Location: Not Set

This is the finale installment of the game and you will all want to make this if you can. By this time you are all going to be way on top of things or way way dead. hahahahahahah

Pre-game Auction

Located at: Guy and Simones
GM: Todd Worrell, Simone Cooper, Dan Christensen
Players: Ameer, Guy, Dennis, John, Thaddeus, Chris, Vrin
Missing: Mike, Chris, Eric and Jeff ....Yes they had an excuse
The pregame information went very well lots of time was spent going over the what ifs and how does it work. I spent lots of time prepping players and filling them in with history.
Todd brought copies of just about everything under the sun. Combined with the binders that I brough the players ended up with a butt load of stuff.
Simone held on like a trooper and helped run threads after the auction. Her and I did the least Todd was the Boss of the Auction.
