BCF Performance Horses

Howdy! and Welcome......

We are located in Covington, Tx.....about 50 miles south of Ft. Worth and just west of I-35. We've been here since 1995, having relocated from Oklahoma. Ranching has been a family tradition for over 3 generations, including raising feed/hay crops, cattle and horses. Rodeoing has also been a family past-time.  Our horse breeding operation has kept us busy raising some quality horses for both ranch and competition use. We break and train what we raise, and use them here on the ranch and also compete on them. We offer breeding stock, young prospects, started and finished horses and cattle for sale.

Outside training is still available, but on a limited basis, so that our customers will recieve the quality they expect. If you have any questions about any of the sale listings, prices, training information, or stallion service, please don't hesitate to call the number listed at the bottom of this page or shoot out an email.

     About the horses....

The ranch currently stands only one stallion, "Smart Peppy Macolena" aka-Mac. Mac is a son of Smart Peppy Lena - full brother to Smart Little Lena. Mac is out of Miss Royal Susan, a daughter of Royal Whiskey. We have a variety of broodmares that we have crossed Mac on. Some are straight cow bred, others are straight running bred. The majority of our mares have been used either for ranch work, off the track, or arena competition before joining the broodmare band. Mac's offspring are making really nice using horses both in the pasture or in the arena. The oldest foal crop are now making good seasoned horses. Some that we have sold have gone on to be trained in cutting, reining, roping and barrel racing, with a few of those individuals excelling in more than one event and earning money in competition. Others have been sold for ranch horses and are doing a hard days work. Mac puts an excellent mind on his colts, and our mares do an excellent job raising those babies. Both sire and dams are producing nice individuals that break easily, have a lot of sense, work well and look good doing the job. The ranch has offspring by 3 other stallions that have stood here. Because of our reductions, we now only stand Mac.

"Bit Of Blue San" was crossed on Mac daughters before being gelded and sold. "RTR Smart Chilipepper"(deceased), a Mac son, was crossed on a few young mares also, and the older stallion, "Lynx Pistol", passed on in '03. Pistol's daughters crossed well with Mac.
