Late War

Stirling

Stirling LJ525, EX-R 'Jolly Roger', 199 (RGM) Squadron, RAF, North Creake, 1944-45. A Stirling Mk III, this nose art-adorned machine wears a fairly typical, high, straight upper and lower surfaces demarcation line which was the standard RAF night bomber scheme for much of the war.

Mustang (P-51C)

Mustang FB166, PK-G, 315 'Polish' Squadron, Brenzett, June 1944. A fairly standard RAF Mustang scheme featuring blue/green camoflage and a white nose. This was the personal mount of the OC of 315 Sqn, Sqn Ldr Eugeniusz 'Dziubek' Horbaczewski. The triangular 315 Sqn symbol below the cockpit harkens back to 112 Eskadra, Polish Air Force (PAF).
