CRAZY FLOWER
What a crazy flower, mindless flower
Which persists in growing on a too dry ground
Everywhere, any goshawk and already,

FLEUR FOLLE
Quelle fleur fofolle, fleur irréfléchie
Qui persiste à pousser sur un terrain trop sec
Partout, tout autour et déjà, c’est la désolation
Tout sommeille… ! Et seule, toute seule, elle demeure éveillée.
Il existe encore et quelque part aussi
Un cœur aussi foufou qui refuse l’oubli
Le monde, s’il se tait, lui, continue à croire
Il garde la mémoire et se souvient très bien
De cet Amour auquel il a toujours cru
Toujours encore vivace, et toujours encore en fleur.

80 ANS DE RADO
Pour son 80ème anniversaire, Rado nous offre en cadeau son 7ème recueil de poèmes, intitulé "Voninkazo adaladala"... le livre contient quelque cent soixante dix neuf poèmes écrits au cours de ces quatre-vingt ans, mêlés de joies et de douleurs. "Voninkazo adaladala" convoie un magnifique message d'espoir et reflète la personnalité même de l'illustre poète Rado.
C'était à l'Espace de verre, à Ankorondrano, que Rado a convié ses proches, hier, pour fêter son anniversaire et pour présenter ce recueil qui est, par ailleurs, disponible sur CD audio. L'artiste a profité de l'occasion pour remercier ses partenaires et ceux qui l'ont particulièrement soutenu dans sa carrière littéraire. Plusieurs personnalités du milieu aussi bien politique, économique que culturel, étaient présentes et ont partagé l'immense gâteau d'anniversaire avec le poète. Quelques pyrogravures signées Rado étaient exposées, à l'occasion, ainsi que des photos de familles. "CRAZY FLOWER"
RADO'S 80TH BIRTHDAY
For his 80th birthday, Rado offers us in present his 7th collection of poems, entitled "Voninkazo adaladala" (CRAZY FLOWER)… the book contains about hundred and seventy nine poems written during these eighty years, mixed by enjoyments and by pains. "Voninkazo adaladala" escorts a magnificent message of hope and reflects the personality of the illustrious poet Rado.
It was in the Glass space, in Ankorondrano, that Rado invited his close relations, yesterday, to celebrate his birthday and to present this collection which is available, besides, on audio CD. The artist took advantage of the occasion to thank his partners and those who particularly supported him in the literary career. Several personalities of the environment so political, economic as cultural, were present and shared the big birthday cake with the poet.

Lost ! You are, my Homeland !
Lost ! You are really lost !
Because the piece of news
which I heard

It is thus the foreign language which serves for building ours ?

TU ES PERDUE, MA PATRIE
C’en est fait de toi, ma Patrie !
Perdue ! Tu es vraiment perdue !
Car la nouvelle que j’ai entendue
Et que l’on n’a pas maquillée,
C’est qu’une langue étrangère
Qui dominait autrefois
A servi pour rédiger le plan de redressement
Qui deviendra la Constitution et la Loi fondamentale
De notre Nation…Quel terrible malheur !
Quelque chose qu’on n’a jamais vu ailleurs !
On ose dire après cela :
" Ce n’est pas le vrai document
Il y aura certainement une traduction en malgache
Qui sera distribuée partout dans peu de temps… "
Je suis découragé et furieux
Complètement désemparé !
C’est donc une langue étrangère qui sert à construire la nôtre ?
N’est-ce pas ce qu’on appelle : "une sauterelle de chien "
Que son maître lui-même,
Surtout quand il fait partie des soi-disant dirigeants,
Chasse honteusement…
Et sans vouloir plaisanter,
Ma pensée déjà lasse et accablée ne se trompe pas
Lorsqu’elle se dit à elle-même : "Sans douteest-ce une idée
De colonisateur
Qui nous mène à une nouvelle soumission".
C’en est fait de toi, ô ma Patrie !
Parce que jamais je n’ai entendu
Quelque chose de ce genre :
" La Constitution du peuple français
a été rédigé en allemand pour être traduite
pour les Français "
Peut-on accepter cela
D’un texte qui va régir lasociété ?
Pour ce qui est du nôtre,
Je le dis pour que tu le saches,
Il a eu pour source une langue étrangère
Mais la langue malgache, elle, doit attendre encore et encore
O ! mes mâchoires se serrent !
Tu es perdue, ô ma Patrie !
