Ka ny fasana ilevenanao

Just one minute

Without being near you

Seems to last hundred years,

A night in jail

If I am near you changes in spring.

 

The agonies of the spirit

When I am far from you,

And what I dare to express.

 

This moon, I give it to you

This star, it will be your toy

I cannot henceforth agree any more

Because for me, you are the whole world.

 

What is dearest to me :

Ce que je ressens, ma vie,

Et que j’ose exprimer.

 

Cette lune, je te la donne

Cette étoile, elle sera ton jouet

Je ne peux plus désormais accepter

De vivre sans être près de toi

Car pour moi, tu es le monde entier.

 

Ce qui m’est le plus cher

C’est d’être à tes côtés

Et tout ce que je veux

C’est faire ce qui te plaît

Oui, la terre de tes ancêtres

J’en fais mon origine

La tombe qui te prendra

Je l’accepte pour mienne.
