Radio Tircoed 106.5FM

Swansea Community Radio

Welcome to Radio Tircoed - On air for July 2008!

Radio Tircoed's bid to become a Community Radio station has been successful!  OFCOM announced that we are permitted to broadcast around the clock on a permanent basis.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to start broadcasting permanently until 1st December 2008, when adequate funding should be in place.  We will, however, broadcast for the month of July 2008 to coincide with our village fete on 12th July!  You'll be able to tune into us on 106.5FM or listen online on this website.

Radio Tircoed is a self-funded community based radio station serving the areas of Tircoed, Penllergaer, Pontardulais, Gorseineon Pontlliw and the M4 Corridor between J47 and J 48 West of Swansea, Wales, UK.  Click here for more information about the radio station.

We broadcast a wide range of programming in Welsh and English with original features including children's stories, local documentaries, topical chat, and of course, a great range of music from all decades and genres!

Radio Tircoed was last on air from December 2006 to January 2007, and our Grand New Years Party was held at The Buck in Pontlliw, where we broadcasted the festivities live.  If you are interested in joining Radio Tircoed, as a presenter, technical operator, or administrator, please contact us and we'll be happy to provide more information about how you can help.

We'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the station's continued success, and most of all, we'd like to thank you for listening and for enthusiastically supporting us.

See you soon!
