RADAR carers and their fosters send a HUGE thank you to the lovely people that have donated lots of lovely goods including bedding, towels and blankets, basic medicinal supplies, kennels, food , collars and leads etc. Without your help and of those who have organized this the foster animals would be a lot colder and hungrier. This helps a lot, But winter has only begun and there will be many more come through our homes that will still require help.
Also thanks Chris for all the hard work sending out the call and collecting and sorting the mountain of supplies that have been distrivuted to RADAR carers as well as other rescue groups throught the region.
If you would like to help please email or call one of us to let you know how you can help.
RADAR sends a huge thank you to Regional Express Wagga for the donation of lovely new blankets for rescued animals.

Riverina And District Animal Rescue RADAR is based in and services the Riverina area of NSW. We rescue and rehome pound animals in danger of being PTS. The animals are fostered by volunteers where they are included in their normal daily activities, are health and temperament assessed, microchipped, vaccinated wormed, flea treated and desexed prior to being rehomed. RADAR is a not for profit group of volunteers that consist of foster carers, transport drivers, fundraisers etc.
RADAR members encourage responsible pet ownership. Educating the public on adequate care and housing, training, vaccination, microchipping, registering and desexing.
Rescued animals are fostered in carers homes and are treated as a member of that family until a new permanent home is found. Animals are rehomed to all areas of Australia. Animals rehomed are done so for only the cost of the relevant vetwork. Sometimes an animal will come into care and not require any vet work thus it is rehomed for no fee and others may need all work including vaccination desexing and microchip and again the adoption fee is only to cover the cost involved. Sometimes animals require additional treatment that the foster carers themselves wear the cost ie wormers and flea shampoo, disinfectants (veterinary grade), antibiotics and other medications for all sorts of ailments, and or injury.RADAR as a group tries to support the carers in this, but a lot is worn by the carers.
Occasionally we also will help out with a private surrender. If you need to rehome a pet of yours there are a a few things you should consider first and you can talk to any of our members in regards to this.
RADAR carers are always in need of supplies to help care for their fosters.
