I started getting familiar with modifying cars in 1988 when a boyfriend of my sister's best friend came over with a 1987 Toyota P/U.  In 1990, I picked up a 1983 Honda Civic HB.  I lowered it and that's about all I got to do.  In 1991, I purchased a 1977 Honda Civic HB, lowered also.  After that, I had a 1980 Datsun 210 SW that I put 1" off the ground, shaved all door handles, and painted it candy-apple-metal-flake blue.  I went through several other lowriders until I came across a 1987 Mazda RX7.  Awesome!  This is the car that got me basically out of lowriding and into sport compact car racing.  In January of 1998, I got my 1996 Dodge neon.  At the time it was painted light iris.  Over the next several years,I added parts to liven it up and started racing SoloII SCCA in the Atlanta Region.  In 1999, I took home the championship.  This site is dedicated to this neon.  Thanks for looking.  Later, QD.
