Rose Brigade
of Fort Worth, Texas
is an official chapter of
The Red Hat Society
Formed in December 2004 with only a few women, we have grown into a diverse group of positive Ladies who get together on the second Sunday of each month for an afternoon of fun, friendship and sisterhood.
We are a casual and relaxed bunch from all areas of Fort Worth and we always look forward to our monthly "Girls Day Out".
If you can commit to one day a month just for you, then come play with us!

We update our site at least once a week, so put us in your favorites and visit us often!

How We Began :
When I was 49, I came across the book "WHEN I AM AN OLD WOMAN I SHALL WEAR PURPLE" at a resale store. The first poem in this book is the now famous "Warning" by Jenny Joseph. I paid my quarter and took the book home. Not long after, Red Hat Society references kept popping up.
As the months went on, I decided that when I turned fifty, I was going to join this group and so I bought myself a red hat.
Then it happened...I turned fifty years old! My kids were grown and living on their own. My husband and I do enjoy our empty nest, but I felt a need for something outside of family, work and church.
I contacted The Red Hat Society and began searching for a chapter to join. My efforts were fruitless. Only one chapter contacted me and it was way out of my area. That is when I decided to start my own chapter.
And what a marvelous adventure it has been so far!
Becoming a member of The Red Hat Society & forming my own chapter is one of the best choices I have made in my life!
I have come in contact with many amazing Ladies through The Red Hat Society. At least one day a month, I can step away from the responsibilities and demands of "real life" and spend an afternoon relaxing, playing and having fun.
Vows of Rose Brigade Chapter

Recited at each chapter gathering:
1. I vow to embrace this time in my life as the beginning
of the best.
2. I will reserve at least one day of each month for me.
3. I accept chocolate as a main food group.
4. I consider dessert as the main course of a meal.
5. I will do my best not to take life too seriously.
6. I choose to laugh as often as possible.
7. I believe that fun is an essential in life.
8. I welcome the Red Hat adventures that await me.
9. I accept the friendships that are around me.
10. We are the Rose Brigade!

Welcome to the Rose Brigade Chapter of The Red Hat Society!
Our chapter is a casual and positive group of ladies, and in order to assure that we remain that way, we have a list of guidelines. If you do not agree with all of these, then this chapter is not for you.
Our chapter goals are simple: fun and friendship. This is the spirit of the Red Hat Society. We’ve all had plenty of rules, regulations, requirements
and obligations in our lives. Now it’s time for us.
1
. Red Hat Society colors will always be worn to chapter gatherings. Red hat/purple top for ages 50 and up, pink hat/lavender top for under age 50. In your birthday month, your colors are reversed. (purple hat/red top, lavender hat/pink top)2
. RSVP’s are my pet peeve! I absolutely need a “yes” or “no” from you for each chapter event. No response will remove you from active member status. You will then need to contact me to re-activate your membership. If you chose to drop out, please notify me.3
. We do not have fees or dues. When we go out, each member pays her own way. When we have a party or large outing, everyone pitches in. At each get-together, we pass around a jar for chapter expenses (stamps, envelopes, birthday cards, printing supplies, etc…).4
. At some point, we may go out and do something good for the community, however, that is not what we’re about. We are here for fun and positive interaction.
