"one who thrives on the love and respect"
We are based 20 minuates from the oldes town `Carmarthen`. All our dogs
enoy rural walks over the collery what is quite a tourist attraction to this day.Ounce the most productive mines in the world !
My passion all started as a child and i have never looked back. I was never
alloud the "real thing" so i read abut my passion instead.
Who could wish for a more ANGEL-LIKE loyal and loving companion than the saint!
Having dogs in the family for many years, being Boxers (grandmother), Greyhounds(father),Jack Russell`s(father/me),Dalmatians(cousin) and the Rottie (cousin). My first ever show prospect was welcomed to our home at only 5 weeks old, she was a Dalmatian, we hand reared her from 5 weeks due to her mother developing mastitus. Unfortunatly she did not make the grade as a few weeks later she developed a blue eye, which is not acceptable in the ring.We got so attcahed to her we decided to keep her and not change her for another form her breeder. She now resides being spoilt and can be quite dominant at her great age. The working group has always caught my eye, I am also very fond of members of the utilitys group. Some of my fondest breeds include the saint, akita, chow chow, frenchie and not to mention the borzoi. To be honest most breeds that decend from the Mastiff, or Spitz i tend to be attracted to ......................
I am a member of the YKC (seniour dept.), i have applied to attend judging seminars (through the YKC), and in the process of joining-The Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training and Canine Behaviour . I am also attending a Micro-chipping course soon, with the hope to help keep stays of the streets, and pets safe, i am thinking of offering a microchipping service to the locals.
Then came the akita, then the saints, and more recently the bull terrier. I have only bred two litters to date all progeny have proved to be healthy and one proved himself in the ring. With the total of the two litters NO puppies were lost, all survived and grew into beautyfull adults. We still keep in touch with there owners in there new homes.
I only breed with good reason, weither it would be to widen our gene-pool(when needed/within moderation) or keep one back (majority of times). They are reared on a high quality diet , consisting of Pro.Plan Puppy (robust/athletic/giant depending on breed),and A selection of steamed offal. They are wormed every 2 weeks and want for nothing! And most imprortantly good homes are sought before there mum was ever mated ! With a good foundation we are hoping to develop a healthy line of saint bernards, SLOWLY but Surely.
Most Importantly May I take time to thank all of the pepole who have helped me throughout my journey so far.
