Queen For A Day is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization developed to raise the self esteem and self-confidence of children with cancer. Queen For A Day helps seriously and terminally ill pediatric patients fight the psychological war of illness. They forget to be kids and resort to the isolation of the disease. When QFAD comes to the hospital, we give the patients a reason to be a kid again. We host tea parties for girls to be pampered with make overs, manicures and their very own coronation ceremony.

Each patient receives a real tiara donated by beauty queens across the nation. Our chapter also takes part in the Heroes For A Day program. This program, like Queen For A Day, is geared towards self-confidence for boys. Local heroes such as fire fighters come in and participate in crafts and activities with the children.
